| This 42 year San Diego old patient was interested in a Mommy Make Over. She had abdominal diastasis and was looking for a surgeon to help her not only tighten her abdomen and get rid of the excess skin and adiopose tissue but to also improve the size and placement of her breasts. After having children and breast feeding them, her breasts had lost the fullness they once had and had also became "saggy". She wanted them full and perky. She wanted breast augmentation, breast lifting and tummy tuck surgery.
She interviewed many Plastic Surgeons in Southern California but decided that Dr. Pousti was the right surgeon for her. She was "marked" the night before surgery. The markings indicated where the incisions will be and how the procedure will take place. Notice that the abdominoplasty incision is very low (so that it is hidden under any underwear or bikini bottom). A breast lift (mastopexy) was performed with only a vertical scar (no horizontal scar). The "x" on the picture indicates where the nipple-areola complex will be moved to. There was also some liposuction of the flanks performed to give the best "contour" to the patient's mid-section.
In the operating room, steps are taken to get the best result for this patient. If you'd like to see some intra-operative photos, please click here. She is only 2 weeks out of surgery. There is a significant amount
of bruising and swelling but you can already see the difference
in her abdominal area as well as her breasts. She has the fullness
and perkiness she wanted in the breasts and her abdominal muscles
were repaired so now she has the tight abdomen she was looking for.
She is about 4-6 weeks out from surgery and very happy.
Testimonial: I'm a 42 yr old Mom of two gigantic children. One was born in 1993 and weighed 9 lb 5 0z and was 2 weeks early (he's 14 yrs old and 6'2 175 lbs now), and the other was born just April of 2007 and weighed in at 9 lb 10 oz and was almost 2 wks early as well. Whew!!! They were both Cesarean section thank goodness but that left the scar and the extreme saggy floppy belley. I'd gained 60-70 lbs with each one and had lost all the weight each time but even with diligent exercise the flabbiness was much worse even after this last pregnancy. I'd also found out that I had a pretty significant "abdominal diastasis" (Separating of the abdomen muscles) which didn't improve with many months of physical therapy and was causing me severe back and hip pain. My breasts were also extremely saggy from the normal path of pregnancy. I was beginning to feel like I didn't even want to go out anymore and sweat pants and large shirts was all I wore. Finally after saving money and deciding that getting a tummy tuck and breast augmentation with a lift was the only way to improve my self-esteem, I went on a search for the perfect plastic surgeon. One thing you need to know is that I am also a Registered Nurse and worked in the Critical Care field of Nursing for 14 years. I've seen a lot of things "gone bad" and although I was looking for an extremely skillful physician I was also very mindful of his priority with regard to patient safety. I interviewed up to 5 physician's and after careful contemplation and comparence of skill vs. surgery center/ safety issues etc.... I chose Dr. Pousti. He allowed me to speak to some of his patients via phone prior to my surgery to give me their opinion of the entire experience and all of them had nothing but good things to say. I'd also seen many patients in the office post-op and they had wonderful results. The hideaway (post-op care center) also talked "non-stop" about how "Dr. Pousti was their favorite, and that his patients did the best post operatively". They take care of other plastic surgeon's patients as well. I had another plastic surgeon's wife in the next room to me during my stay there. So, to sum things up......... I would say that Dr. Pousti is an extremely talented and gifted surgeon who is "meticulous" in every aspect of the surgical process. He made me feel VERY safe and in competent hands even though my surgery was to be 5 hours long. Post-operatively the pain has been minimal and the incisions are beautiful. He is an artist and a GENIUS!!!! I'm only 2 weeks out of surgery and still have a large amount of swelling but can already see SUCH a difference and am beginning to fall "in love" with my body and am excited to soon be able to show it off and finally be PROUD of the way I look. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Pousti giving me my "fun-loving" self and life back. I also have to give a shout out to some of my favorite staff
of Dr. Pousti's office who have been so patient, kind, and caring
with all of my questions and concerns. Daisy and Kara thank you
SO much for not acting "rushed" and taking the time to
answer all of my questions with patience and sincerity even though
I know how busy you are (Margie, you too). You guys are great!!!!
