This 20 year old patient came in to meet with Dr. Pousti regarding improving the size and shape of her breasts. She wanted breast augmentation with saline breast implants as well as correction of her tubular breast deformity. Tuberous Breasts have a very narrow base and usually a long skin envelope. Sometimes people refer to "Tuberous Breast" shape as the shape similar to "snoopy's nose". In the most severe cases of Tuberous Breast, a breast lift can be done through an incision around the areola, making the breast into a more rounded shape that the patient will be happy with. In many cases however, a lift is not necessary. The patient should be aware that the final result will take months to see and that they will need to be patient.

After her examination, Dr. Pousti decided that to ensure this patient achieve the best results, he would have to perform a limited mastopexy (breast lifting) on both sides in addition to the breast augmentation surgery. This procedure would have the incisions around the areola.

In the operating room, Dr. Pousti takes his time to ensure a beautiful result.

After surgery, she has steri-strips around the incisions. She is now 2 months post-op bilateral breast augmentation with different sized saline implants (525cc on the right and 375cc on the left) as well as breast lifting and correction of tuberous breasts.

This patient is only 2 months post-op surgery. Her implants will continue to drop into the pocket and her results will continue to improve. She is extremely happy with her new breasts.
