I am completely pleased w/the result that I received w/Dr. Pousti. Not only is he amazing, but his staff is as well. I felt as though I was not just a client but also more like a friend. He even held my hand while I was being put to sleep it meant a lot. I received a load of confidence not only in my daily activities, but also my work environment. I feel as though I am a totally different person thanks to him. I recommend him every time someone asks me about my enhancement. It opened the doors to more opportunities that hadn’t been offered to me before. Thank you very much Pousti and staff; you’re amazing.
Testimonial: “Words cannot express how happy I am with the results of my breast augmentation, liposuction and eye lid surgery! The day of the consultation, my husband and I were so surprised how comfortable it was talking with Dr. Pousti about the procedures. He answered all of my questions patiently and thoughtfully and put me completely at ease. At the end of the consultation we both knew immediately he was the right surgeon for me, and scheduled the surgery. I couldn’t have found a better doctor and staff, all of them make me feel so comfortable at all times, and that made this experience and my results better than I could have ever imagined! My husband and I truly enjoy going to his office for post-op visits as everyone has been so warm and caring from the very beginning. Special thanks to Margie and Vanessa for their caring and kindness. I wish my primary physician and nurses treated me this well! Thanks again Dr. Pousti, I will continue to recommend you every chance I get.

I am 30 yrs old. I found Dr. Pousti about 2 years ago after I was suffering from complications from a HORRIBLE breast augmentation performed by a surgeon in Newport Beach. In September of 2011 Dr. Pousti replaced my implants and fixed my capsular contracture on my right breast. I just recently went back to him for another surgery last week, as I was interested in slightly increasing my size and trying a
different style of silicone implants.

After having a breast aug. (1/2012) to correct the damage of breastfeeding, I was left with significant asymmetry; bottoming out (L) and apparent CC (R). I researched revision extensively and met with surgeons both locally and out-of-state. My case was complicated and multiple surgeons described multiple surgeries to correct my appearance with guarded expectations.
Dr. Pousti acknowledged the difficulty of my situation and welcomed the challenge! He worked with me to answer questions, address concerns and give me clear, yet optimistic expectations. As an out of state patient, we were in contact daily via phone and he always made me a priority. As a self-educated patient he discussed my case with me as a peer, respecting my questions and giving me his honest and professional opinion. Finally Dr. Pousti and his staff always made accommodations for me to meet with him when I could be in town.
Dr. Pousti completed my surgery in Aug. 2012 (in 1 procedure!), on short notice so that I could return home to be a part of my daughter’s first day of school! The surgery went perfectly and I was at Disneyland with my family 4 days post-op! Dr. Pousti and his staff were, and continue to be extremely attentive during my recovery with frequent phone calls and check-ins.
I am now 6 months post-op and feel blessed to have found Dr. Pousti. My results have exceeded all of my expectations with near perfect symmetry and beautiful size and shape in wonderful proportion to my frame! I now have the results I had hoped for originally!
My only regret is not having gone to Dr. Pousti from the very beginning! Regardless of where you live or what your needs are, you owe it to yourself to call and talk to Dr. Pousti! He is a gifted and talented surgeon, who truly cares about his patients! You cannot do better!

I had breast augmentation surgery performed by Dr. Pousti, and I have nothing but praise for his work and my overall experience with him and his office. I really love my new look! Dr. Pousti approaches breast augmentation in a very professional way, using techniques that I believe give the highest probability of surgery success and patient satisfaction. I am very glad that I selected him as my surgeon!
I have some experience with dissatisfaction from a previous breast augmentation surgery and have learned much from my long journey from flat-ish natural breasts, to an augmentation that was of moderate size but still not really right, and finally to becoming a true “Pousti girl” like so many others, with the breasts I actually wanted and the satisfaction with their appearance that seemed so elusive before I met Dr. Pousti.
There is much I think needs to be said about breast augmentation that you probably won’t hear clearly stated when reading websites or magazines, and probably not even when talking to some women who have been through the procedure, so in addition to speaking positively about the job Dr. Pousti did for me, I will attempt to clarify a few points some need to hear if considering breast augmentation. I realize that this is a long essay, but I thought that my experiences and struggles could serve others in a way that helps them avoid my pitfalls and choose a surgeon using better information than they might otherwise have. To be as helpful and fair as possible, I have to provide some background about what I wanted in the way of an augmentation and what I had been through in the past. Note that I only had breast augmentation done with Dr. Pousti, so I cannot make specific claims about any other procedures he performs in this essay. Your ideal look may not match mine, and that is fine, but much of what I want to make clear here is universal to all women who desire breast augmentation. I use male pronouns when writing about surgeons in general, but I do realize that there are female surgeons out there too, and everything I’m going to write could apply to them as well, so please don’t take that the wrong way. Writing “he/she” all the time is just so awkward.
I came to Dr. Pousti wanting larger and much rounder breasts than I had before, with much more upper fullness. I knew going in that the look I was seeking was not “natural.” I feel that in America today, breast augmentation is far more socially acceptable than it was even just a decade ago, and I also think that having breasts that many people can tell have been adjusted does far more good for a woman than harm. I am now one of the Pousti girls with saline implants (under the muscle) that would be counted in the extra-large category for my body size. Let’s not kid ourselves: breast implants are purely for appearance. I am proud to have the improved appearance, and I am not at all afraid of people realizing that I have them. As I said, I did not ask Dr. Pousti for a “natural look” (I can’t clearly define what that would be anyway, other than no implants), though he is an excellent surgeon and will definitely accommodate anyone’s reasonable appearance goals.
Dr. Pousti is all about communicating clearly with the patient about her desired final appearance and getting the best visual representation of her goals he can to guide him at surgery time. He will even encourage you to bring photos that provide a good approximation of your appearance desires during the consultation process. Not all surgeons are good about this, as I will shortly describe.
My breast augmentation with Dr. Pousti was the second one I have had. My first surgery was performed by a very reputable surgeon in southern California who was located much closer to my home than is Dr. Pousti. That surgeon has an extremely nice office and by many accounts does excellent work. I am not going to say that my first augmentation was horrible, because the surgeon was very competent, it was a decent job, and I was not disfigured or ugly. It was performed in a clean and very modern facility, and many women in my shoes might have considered it good enough and decided to just live with the outcome. The problem was that after I was fully healed and a great many months had passed, my final appearance was somewhat far from what I really wanted and had asked for, even though I tried very hard on more than one occasion to communicate exactly the look I wanted to that surgeon. I brought pictures to my consultation with that surgeon, viewed pictures of many of his previous patients for additional comparisons and verification, spoke at length about the look I wanted to achieve, discussed all the pros and cons about the saline-versus-silicone options, the round-versus-teardrop implant profiles, and even sent a follow-up email clearly summarizing the main points about my desires. I even went through the now-infamous sizing technique where various different pockets filled with rice grains or small resin pellets are used with a bra under normal clothes to aid size selection. That technique is not usually adequate for choosing a size accurately when a woman is looking for larger implants and wants them under the chest muscle. It tends to drive your choice toward the small side by making a given implant volume look much larger approximated in the office than it really will, post-surgery, in your body.
I eventually figured out, after the fact of course, that there are some rather well-hidden appearance biases out there among many plastic surgeons, and these biases work their way into the process in subtle ways that tend to lead patients toward having smaller breasts than they will actually want in the end. Have you ever looked at a surgeon’s website or met with one to discuss breast augmentation surgery and had him openly claim, “I have a personal bias and don’t much like the look of breast implants on women, and I tend to think breast implants, if done at all, should be kept as small as possible. My in-office sizing techniques are designed to foist my bias on you and tend to err on the small side for this reason.” No, I highly doubt you have ever received such a claim from a surgeon or ever will! However, some surgeons are skittish about augmentation surgery, especially the larger implant sizes, and seem to think that their reputations depend not on delivering the results their clients ask and pay for, but on delivering legions of women who meet some arbitrary theoretical ideal that may not represent the goals of a particular client.
Also, I believe that many in-office sizing techniques and common ways that implants are talked about and sold to the patient by these “other” surgeons (not Dr. Pousti!) shift the burden of accountability for the sizing choices toward the patient but do so without giving her a clear sense of what she will really look like post-surgery. She will be left making tricky choices with incomplete or flawed information, settling on implant volume “magic numbers” and implant types she is quite unsure of (and often that magic number is actually a little smaller than what is needed to fully achieve her long-term wishes), and the surgeon may want plans fairly set in stone by surgery day so he can run virtually on autopilot once in the operating room. This means that the surgeon’s ostensibly expert judgment does not get used much during the surgery for making size adjustments to help align the outcome with the stated appearance goals of the patient. Think about it: isn’t that expertise a big part of what you are paying a non-trivial amount of money for? Of course, you cannot be awake to help judge the appearance of your implants along the way, so if you settle on a number in the office using one of those dubious bra-sizer approximations that are often touted as a great idea for choosing an implant size, you may find yourself later with much smaller looking breasts than you thought you would get.
A surgeon acting as I just described has at least one reason that doing things that way is an advantage for him but not for you. He can essentially put you on the spot if your new breast size ends up not looking like what you wanted! He knows that you remember making the implant volume choice in his office, and it was probably locked-in before the surgery, so he always has the negotiating position available to say “Well, we did agree on X cc implants at the office, remember? That’s what I gave you.” He gets to take the high ground in the discussion immediately and is largely off the hook, and you go out into the world wondering whether your results are just “good enough” or if you will be back in surgery sometime later to further support the industry with a revision to a different size. I strongly disagree that modern breast augmentation needs to be fraught with such difficult choices or be a hit-and-miss endeavor! In contrast to the experiences I had with my earlier surgeon, Dr. Pousti does not treat his patients in ways that would promote any of this folly.
Dr. Pousti will specifically target your exact appearance desires rather than make choices based on misleading numerical criteria or contrivances that may not suit all patients. He is very interested in knowing exactly what you want your surgery to accomplish for you looks-wise and how concerned you might be about various subtle differences in plausible outcomes. For instance, you will probably not be asked to precisely nail down an exact implant volume, but you will be asked about the shape, height, upper fullness and the relative size of the breasts you are seeking, and Dr. Pousti will expect you to be able to point to photographic examples that are at least close to your desired look. If you have special concerns or corrective needs, he will want to know that as well. He may ask you if you are leaning toward a more natural look, or if you are fine with a look that may raise a few eyebrows; he can do them all, so do not hesitate to ask for what you really, truly want! Also, don’t worry if at the first consultation you cannot supply any photos, as he has several great photo books of previous patients, and his website has many great examples as well. Also, you will have many opportunities later to adjust your requests and bring in or email photos you find. I prepared a large collage of photos, including my pre-Pousti photos for comparison, a few from his website that I liked, as well as several that I found at outside sources.
Why are your photos so important? The short answer is that each woman is unique, and the identical implants will look completely different on different people, so in-office size and appearance choices can only serve as very rough guidelines! Dr. Pousti likes to use photos immediately before and during surgery to fine-tune his procedures and achieve exactly the look you are seeking. He will judge carefully, during the surgery, whether he has the shape and size of your implants right before committing to that look. It is common that for your body and skin type, shoulder and chest width, and overall body shape, the desires you expressed in the office will require additional adjustments at surgery time to achieve in the finished result. You want a surgeon who knows what he is doing and can make those necessary adjustments skillfully, and Dr. Pousti is among those. In effect, Dr. Pousti will do the numerical sizing for you during the surgery, when he is looking at your real body and the real outcome of any given implant size and type. A surgeon who relies exclusively on numbers conjured up while comparing you to photos of other women and “reading tea leaves” sitting in an office is more concerned about the ease of the surgery (and probably himself) than your final appearance, and he very well may not achieve the look you are seeking. Dr. Pousti applies his considerable expertise to target the look a patient desires as closely as possible, with the least risk to her health and well-being.
There are two other important features of the breast augmentation experience that I have learned from my journey, and all women considering breast implants should learn of them. In almost every single case, women underestimate (sometimes greatly) the volume required of implants to achieve a given look, and they don’t realize how significantly many styles of clothing, and even swimsuits too, can de-emphasize the size of their breasts in the final outcome. It is so important to be cognizant of these two facts when considering a breast augmentation procedure. The size of your implants is just a number, and as I have already alluded, two different women getting the identical procedure done, with roughly the same desired final appearance, will always need different implant volumes to achieve it. Further, as the women look different to begin with and have differences in their natural breast sizes, shapes, and body types, their final outcomes will also look slightly different. That’s just the way it is, and one should not be bothered by that. Your own natural beauty will still be a part of your final outcome, so you should not fear that breast augmentation is somehow going to falsify you or undermine the better sides of your natural appearance.
I was very surprised at how easy it is to conceal the true size of my breasts with regular clothing. They are definitely large for my body size, and frankly no one seeing me in a plain, close-fitting, pullover T-shirt would think that my breasts were just “ordinary.” You would be amazed, however, how close to ordinary I can look in so many styles of regular clothing and business styles. For swimsuits, generally less of the dramatic truth is concealable, but it is still quite possible to minimize the visual impact if you choose to, especially with one-piece suits and/or those with looser tops. Keep this in mind when you are considering augmentation and what size you might like to have. I am not at all alone in thinking that women considering breast augmentation should expect to go somewhat larger than they might initially think they will need, as so many natural factors tend to suppress the apparent size of your breasts anyway. The overwhelming majority of the world will only see you clothed, so you will always have the option to dress according to the visual impact you want to project. Larger breasts are totally visually adjustable, but small breasts look small in pretty much all situations, no matter what. Also, if you are careful about what you wear after your augmentation and do as I did, you can have some fun very gradually transitioning your appearance so that no one but your closest confidants can know exactly when your surgery occurred.
I discovered Dr. Pousti via his website, which I found quite helpful in explaining many things about his procedures. In addition to the things I have already said, I very much liked that he has much expertise with breast augmentations of all sizes, advertises that fact and his techniques clearly on his website, and communicates in a way that makes women feel comfortable and secure in their choices. His office staff was very attentive and maintained great communication with me all through the process. He can also accommodate those who must travel significant distances to see him and has done so many times before. If you are considering breast augmentation, you absolutely should strongly consider having Dr. Pousti as your surgeon. You deserve to get all you asked for in your augmentation procedure, and you are paying good money for it, so your surgeon should be an expert and be working for you and your interests every step of the way. I believe Dr. Pousti will do just that.

I consulted two plastic surgeons for a problem with my old implants. Medically both Dr Pousti and the other surgeon had the same recommendation for repair. However, Dr Pousti was much more interested in my wishes for the outcome. The other surgeon wrote down a size and told me what size he would replace my implants with. Dr Pousti took much more time. I was surprised when told that he would study my chart overnight. He is more than a surgeon, he’s an artist, and as it turns out he used a different size in each breast in order to get an even appearance. I am convinced that if I went with the other surgeon, I would be very unhappy today, as well as uneven.
The office staff is always friendly and helpful. After care was excellent, and Dr Pousti has a way of making every patient feel that they are his favorite patient.

I had been searching for a good plastic surgeon for a long time who has experienced in breast revision. I had spent a lot of time researching on internet and found Dr. Pousti with many testimonials praising him and giving him an excellent rating. I decided to go to Dr. Pousti for a consultation. At the first consultation, I got right away the answer with confidence “I could fix it” and later he did it beautifully. Besides being a skilled surgeon, Dr. Pousti amazed me by his friendliness and his good bedside manner. He deserves those testimonials. Also, Dr. Pousti has a wonderful staff which is polite, courteous and professional that makes people feel comfortable at his office.

First and foremost I want to thank Dr. Pousti and his staff for such a positive experience. Prior to meeting Dr. Pousti I had undergone two breast augmentation surgeries. I had my first in 2005 and my second in 2007. In 2007 I maxed out what was the traditional “conservative” plastic surgeon’s recommendation with 800cc silicone implants. I loved the results but I went on to have two amazing daughters which I breastfed back to back in 2010 and 2011. My breasts needed some work. They weren’t as perky anymore and I had lost some of my own breast tissue from nursing. I also had lateral displacement of my implants. Basically, when I laid on my back my breasts went into my armpits which left quite a considerable space in my cleavage area. I also knew I wanted to go bigger. Here is when the research started-I met with my former plastic surgeon and his opinion was that I needed a full anchor lift and all the scarring that came with that. I felt it was overkill and was saddened by the recommendation but I booked my surgery trusting his advice. After more thought, I decided to look into the option of over filled saline implants and maybe a little “pocket tightening”. I first learned about Dr. Pousti from his AMAZING website. The testimonials and photos said it all. I knew I needed to rethink my decision and have a phone consultation with him. I emailed photos (frontal and side) and he got back to me via telephone very promptly. To my excitement he told me he thought I didn’t need a lift. He also was willing to go as big as was safe for my body. I canceled my other surgery and put down my deposit for my surgery in San Diego. The website and staff had wonderful recommendations on which hotels they recommended their patients stay at and the hotels even offered a discount for being his patient. I was also given the name of a great after surgery recovery nurse who went on to do a phenomenal job of taking care of me post op for the first 24 hours. When I met Dr. Pousti for my pre op the day before surgery I instantly knew I had made the right decision to have my surgery performed by him. He is such a skilled, caring and kind person. At my pre op he recommended I have internal sutures placed to correct my implant displacement and promised he would take great care of me. I am absolutely insanely in LOVE with my new breasts. I would never trust my body to another plastic surgeon after meeting Dr. Pousti. As a former model, I can tell you that I almost idolize the man for giving me back the breasts I had before having my children. I would recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone who wants the job done right. Flying out for surgery, especially alone, can be a scary thought but it is such a worthy investment. The moment you walk into his office-no matter the distance you have traveled-you will feel at home. Thank you Dr. Pousti for changing my body and my life.

To anyone considering breast augmentation or revision,
After realizing one of my large saline implants had rupturedand deflated I was frantic and anxious. The thought of replacing my implants had crossed my mind before thisunexpected deflation, but now I knew I had to make a decision fast. I hadactually looked at Dr. Pousti’s website before this had happened and was veryimpressed with what I saw. I read all the wonderful reviews from past patientsand knew this was the doctor to see. So, as soon as I noticed my deflation I called his office to see if I couldget an appointment the following day. The staff was wonderful and understanding of my situation, they madesure I had an appointment the following day. As soon as I met Dr. Pousti I felt at ease with mysituation. Not only is he veryprofessional, but also very personable. He was very thorough in asking me how I wanted my breasts to look andfeel like. My old DD salineimplants were very large (770 cc), heavy, hard, and sat high on top of mychest. I told Dr. Pousti I wanted a very very natural look, a natural slopewith no big bumps high on my chest. I wanted a smaller implant that would look classy and to keep peopleguessing if I had actually had breast implants at all. As an avid running a smaller breastsize would also fit into my active lifestyle. While in the office I was shownphoto albums to get an idea of the look I wanted. I also met several post oppatients who were all extremely happy with their results and experience withDr. Pousti. After my consultationI knew Dr. Pousti was the Plastic Surgeon for me. The most amazing part of thiswhole experience is that Dr. Pousti and his staff were able to
scheduled my surgery for the very next day. When I arrived at the surgery centerthe next day Dr. Pousti again went over my goals, placement of where I wantedthe implants to sit on my chest and a size that would suit my body. I knew Iwanted large C/ small D silicone implants and I felt totally confident he wouldcreate this natural look for me. Ihave to say I had no complications, zero pain ( I did not even takeprescription pain meds), and was back to my normal lifestyle the next day. Dr. Pousti himself even called me overthe weekend to see how I was doing. His wonderful staff called me every day fora week to make sure I was doing okay and to see if I had any questions. Even anurse from the surgery center called to see how I was doing. I have nothing butgreat things to say about Dr. Pousti and his staff.
As a Registered Nurse I understand how important it is toreceive superior care and this is what I experienced from Dr. Pousti and hisstaff. I now have 445 cc silicone34 D natural looking breasts. If Iever decide I need or want another surgical procedure, Dr. Pousti is the onlyone I will see. I highly recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone wanting to change hisor her appearance for the better.
Sincerely Grateful,

I had a BL/BA with Dr. Pousti on Sept.7, 2011. I had always been unhappy with my breasts, especially after breastfeeding. I thought about having this procedure for about 8 years, but was always scared of the idea. The girls in the office made me feel so comfortable I booked my surgery that day. My skin tends to scar very red, so i am having a scar revision as well relifting. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with the first surgery. Dr. P and his office staff are more than caring and attentive. Dr. Pousti really listens to what you want. He is highly skilled in his profession! I already love my new breasts! So I know they are just going to get better! I am excited for my revision surgery, I know he is going to make them look amazing!
Updated on 25 Sep 2012: I had surgery this morning and as always the nurses were wonderful, as well as Dr. Pousti. I was a little nervous this time around, but the nurses made me feel so relaxed and at ease. The nurses make sure your every need is met. Again, just like the first time, I had a very pleasant experience and the surgery center Dr. Pousti is such an amazing doctor! He really listened to what goals and \”look\” I wanted to achieve. I have no doubt that he did everything in his power to give me everything I asked for. I haven\’t seen them yet as I am bandaged up, but I am already happy with the upgraded size! Dr. Pousti is a incredibly AWESOME doctor! He is talented in creating beautiful breast! I would recommend him over and over again!!

The results from my surgery from Jan 31, 2012 were really good, except I had a little asymmetry. My right breast had dropped and my left never did. I decided to schedule a revision to correct the imperfection with an internal bra. My husband and I thought about it and decided that I would do an implant exchange at the same time. I was limited with how big I could go at my first surgery due to the fact that I was having a lift, and with the amount of sutures that I would put too much pressure on them if I went too big. So at the time, I let Dr, Pousti be the judge and he filled me as large as was possibly safe. I had beautiful shape and gorgeous nipple placement.
My experience – once again – at Dr. Pousti’s office has been nothing short of a visit to the family Doctor. Dr. Pousti really understands when you tell him what you want. He actually listens, he cares, he hears what you are saying instead of just nodding just to get you out of there and go on to the next patient.
I brought in a LOT of photos and discussed what size, look and placement I wanted. I always leave Dr. Pousti with an extreme amount of confidence that I have made the right choice. He is an amazing Doctor.
Surgery went fantastic…I, again, left the cc’s up to Dr. Pousti – he had the photos of what I wanted to look like. I know that the # of cc’s can look different from one girl to the next, so I was not dead set on anything.
I had an internal bra in the right breast to bring it up to the same level as the left breast, then the implant exchange.
When I woke up in the recovery, I just wanted to see the # that he filled me to -
1130 cc
YEAH
So, recovery is going well. I am sore – but not too bad. The internal stitches are tender and it is hard to remember to keep my elbow down. If I move the wrong way, my body does remind me. Can’t wait until my appointment next week for the unveiling so I can see the results.

This is my second breast augmentation but my first one by Doctor Pousti. I got my first breast augmentation done approx 8 years ago and I didn’t do my research to find a good doctor and I paid for it greatly. I was completely dissatisfied with them and was more self conscious about the poorly done breast augmentation than I was without them.
I found Doctor Pousti through a friend of mine who had gotten her breast augmentation done by him. Her breasts looked awesome and I was so jealous that I hadn’t done the research for a good doctor like she had.
I looked up Doctor Pousti’s website and read the testimonials by other patients and also read other reviews about him. I looked at before and after pictures of other women who also had their previous breast augmentation surgeries re-done by Doctor Pousti and was even more pleased at the phenomenal job he had done fixing other so-called “doctor’s” augmentations.
I decided that I didn’t want to wait any longer. I immediately scheduled a consultation with Doctor Pousti and scheduled my new breast augmentation surgery shortly thereafter.
I couldn’t be more pleased with how my new breast augmentation looks! Everyone, including the staff at Doctor Pousti’s office to the nurses who cared for me at the surgery center, took phenomenal care of me. I have never come across a more personable and caring group of people.
I would recommend anyone and EVERYONE to Doctor Pousti. He and his staff are a wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable team together. My new breasts look PHENOMENAL and I now have the self confidence that I have the beautiful breasts that I’ve always wanted.
Thank you Doctor Pousti!!

At age 25 I decided to have breast augmentation and had sub muscular implants put in. I remember my reasoning being that I needed to be better proportioned. I felt I had a large behind and even though I had fairly decent sized breasts of my own I wanted them bigger to counter balance my behind. About twelve and a half years later, while pregnant one of my implants ruptured. There wasn’t a specific incident. I believe it was just the added weight and pressure, plus they had reached what I guess is considered shelf life. It was a scary experience. I wasn’t sure what had happened and I had mild pain shooting down my stomach. It of course made me concerned about my baby. After realizing what had happened I called Dr. Pousti’s office. They were very kind and helpful and explained there shouldn’t be an issue and I could have something done after I gave birth. I’m sure glad they were saline! Well anyway, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl and that became one of my many concerns in having something done. I love her and I didn’t want anything bad to happen to me. I didn’t want to have a procedure of any kind done. I hoped the other would just rupture and I wouldn’t do anything about it. I didn’t want to have to make a decision to have them removed or replaced. I was concerned about recovery and how I would handle my baby. I had many bills still from having my daughter and I didn’t want to take on any additional debt. Not to mention, I remembered the initial procedure as being extremely painful. I didn’t want to go through that again.
I met with Dr. Pousti a little after a year later. He and his staff were very comforting and helpful. We discussed my options of having them removed and replaced or just removed. Needless to say, I was undecided and continued to put it off. Again, I just hoped the other one would rupture. Finally, after two years of being lopsided I decided to have a procedure. It was a tough decision as to what to do. I was contemplating having them removed, but was afraid I wouldn’t be happy with my appearance. I didn’t want to spend any money at all though, so of course the less expensive route was alluring. That coupled with the fact that I didn’t want to be faced with this dilemma again were the defining reasons in why I ultimately decided to have them removed.
I just had my procedure done and so far I am happy with my results. There is a sense of freedom in being just me. Dr. Pousti and his staff were amazing. I felt special. I felt like they cared about me. As nervous and anxious as I was about the whole thing prior, when I went into the operating room I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. The procedure was quick and easy on me. To my delight and surprise I have felt very little, if any pain. Dr. Pousti of course told me that would be the case, but I doubted it some considering my memory of my initial recovery. The office and Dr. Pousti have continued to be in touch with me and I appreciate that. I should be fully recovered soon and I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to buying some new bras! Probably going to have to buy some push ups! Ha! Good luck to those of you considering this procedure!

I originally got saline implants back in May 06 in south carolina, within 3 weeks I had a nasty infection and after months of trying to save the implant it had to come out. There I am newly engaged, plan in a wedding and hoping I et my boob back in time..haha. well I did and minus a few more problems it stayed put until I had my last baby in July 2010 and I noticed I looked lopsided. Sure enough went to a Dr (now in FL) and my implant had an early deflation, go figure. Thankfully I purchases insurance so it was covered and I upgraded to silicone for a small price. 3 weeks later no infection but my incision opened up and had t get a new implant. After all that I was fine and I was enjoying them, until around 6 months later and I noticed a dark spot on the bottom lobe area. Went to my Dr and he was baffled and mentioned placing some kind of fake skin but wanted to speak to his colleagues, however by the time he got back to me I got another infection and was in the process of moving cross country so he told me to rush to San Diego and get it fixed. I arrived in San Diego mid august but it was too late, my breast had several holes through the skin and not much could be done. Went to the ER and the implant along with part of my lower breast was removed. I saw several doctors of all kind and everyone had a different treatment plan. Some were extreme and some not extreme enough considering my history. I finally met some friends and several of them referred me to Dr. Pousti. They all raved about him so I met with him and immediately felt like he was who I’ve been looking for and waiting for! Its been a year since my implant was removed and I just had the revision and re-implants done this past week. I am anxious and hopeful to see what amazing work he’s done. I was lopsided for a year and now I’m just hoping for my life back! Will keep our all updated

I came across Dr Pousti following poor augmentation surgery in the UK. After contacting numerous surgeons throughout Europe, without success, I furthered my search to the USA. I found Dr Pousti’s website to be easily laid out. As soon as I saw the Before/after photos, I knew I had to take it further. It had an XL section for breast augmentation, which is what I wanted.
I made initial enquiries with Margie from Dr Pousti’s team via email and was immediately impressed with the quick, informative replies I was receiving. I then spoke to Helen from Dr Pousti’s team, who was able to answer all my questions. I sent photos via email to Dr Pousti, which again were answered promptly. He gave me a breakdown of how he could help me.
With My experience up to that point, along with the success stories and great online reviews, I decided to book my surgery. I travelled to San Diego and had an appointment with Dr Pousti and his team. I have experienced a number of surgeries in the UK, some better than others-but none compared to La Mesa. The Office was professional, calm and had a pleasant atmosphere.
I met Dr Pousti in person and we spoke about the upcoming surgery, I was put at ease and was 100% sure that this was the surgeon for me. I wanted large implants and Dr Pousti assured me he would go as large as possible, but always putting my safety first.
The morning of my surgery, I was dealt with very professionally-the nursing staff were great and Dr P met with me before to go through our goals.
Following the successful procedure, I was discharged and given all the guidance I needed. I met with D P two more times before I returned to the UK. I was still able to enjoy my time on holiday (carefully) after a short period of rest!
To say I’m happy with my surgery is an understatement. Seeing is believing. Due to my poor augmentation previously, I had a loss of confidence, self esteem and wasn’t myself. I’m now able to move on with my life and be proud to wear clothing that shows off my fantastic chest. The corrections made are literally incredible.
I would advise anyone interested in such surgery to give Dr Pousti’s office a call. I’m one of many very happy patients. I’m also happy to speak to anyone who is interested or thinking about surgery with Dr Pousti, please ask the office for my email or phone number!
Kind regards,
Lou…xx
Patient’s Partner:
I cannot express in words, my gratitude to Dr Pousti and his team. Lou received world class treatment in La Mesa. As an ex-Military Policeman, I believe myself to be a credible judge of character and hold very high standards. These expectations were exceeded within seconds of meeting Dr Pousti, a very professional man, who was intently truthful with Lou about the goals in which wanted to be attained. Everything was explained on a level in which we understood.
From the office, to the operating theatre, to the post op meetings and beyond, we have had a great experience. The results are amazing and the difference in Lou personally, is incredible (I have the old Lou back).
If any partners wish to contact me, it would be my pleasure to share our experience further or discuss any concerns someone may have.
Again, thank you so much and it would be great to see our friends in San Diego again someday.
Kind regards,
Chris

My Story begins early in life being told daily I was ugly not good enough and enduring physical abuse.I rose above this negativity and always had an inner love for myself.I have overcame all types of obstacles in my life from being a teen mom , going to college, being a business owner, realtor and role model to others.
I have always strived for perfection and being physically attractive and youthful taking care of myself.I am a motherof two daughters ages 16 and 24 and have an adorable 4 yr old grandson.
In 1998 is when I first when under the knife for plastic surgery to get a tummy tuck and arm lipo. I liked my results and as I did more research and the years passed I had more surgeries every couple of years from lipo in various areas, two more tummy tucks, two breast lift and small implant for volume only 325 cc’s but it didn’t look right because of sagging boobs with implants sitting high by collarbone.
In 2006 I got everything revised skin removed with lift and got 1000 cc saline implants partial unders with more tummy and back lipo.Looked ok but after awhile started to sag and never had the high profile I desired.
In. Dec. 2010 I wanted to have bigger breast I was told by my plastic to achieve large boobs I would have to stack them and they didn’t make one implant large enough. I kept the 1000cc’s in place. He removed more skin on both breast to look tighter and my plastic surgeon added two more 1000cc’s one on each side giving me 2000cc’s after 5 hours in OR They were huge and I was excited to see my results. I went home very sick that night my right boob looked as though it had split down the middle below areola It was red swollen and very sore. I go for post op and it is defintely spliting fluid is oozing and its dressed.I continue to his office daily for 2 weeks to get it dressed.I go home same evening I take a small hand mirror and look at my breast and it still feels sore swollen and painful I look under my right boob crease and see a black spot . I come back to office next day and he says the black spot is my implant and it will need to be explanted I am devasated and crying hysterical.I come back the next day told to take 1 valium and went in Or on premise and had both implants on right side explanted the entire time awake.
I was left with 2000 cc on left and explanted boob wound left open without drains and was scheduled to come in everyday to change my green, blood stained gauze this went on for at least 2 months.
Had explant in Jan 2011 and was ready to replant in May 2011.got new implants and was replanted with 2000cc’s. The day of surgery was rushed back to my plastic surgeons office because implants felt like they were under my armpit after a few weeks implants were hard painful and implants were high by my collarbone I had arm pain numbness and developed a lump under my right armpit.
After months of pain and severe Capsular Contracture and implants sitting extremely high my plastis surgeon suggested to filet the scar tissue to make implants drop he called it a capsulectomy.
Dec 2011 had capsulectomy through the same scar orginally that split in Dec 2010. A week goes by its seems fine then my boobs starts to deform and gets a huge dent and turns bright red warm to the touch and I get fever chills feels like I’M going to die.I see my plastic surgeon he says its just the tissue settling and its due to all the implant pressure but no infection.I did my own research and it said Cellullitis! which is major I called to antibotics from him but he refused but his office asst called me in cipro.I stayed on antiobiotics for over a month I sent links to show my doctor this what I had but never responded.
I then researched the web an breast forums to find another opinion and highly recommended Doctor who had the expertise but who really cares for his patients like family.I finally found that one Dr.Pousti in San Diego even though his office was 6 1/2 hours away I knew I needed him to see me.I emailed pics and made appt in person. He was professional, honest and very concerned about my individual situation his office staff is superb and when you walk in you know they are a strong professional unit and they love the patients also.
Dr.Pousti did see me and set me to come back in Aug.2012 he gave me advice and his professional opinion I immediatley felt secure and looked forward to being his patient and geting the results I was trying to achieve.
In the beginning of July 2012 I started to develop a bubble filled with fluid on my right boob by the third week it had graduated to 3 bubbles I go in to my plastic surgeon and he says its a hernia and that my scar tissue split and the fluid went to the weak spots. He suggested I get the hernia cut out and deflate one of my 1000c implants to 500 cc’s so I can have 1500 cc’s on the right and keep my 2000cc’s on the left he said if it burst I will be hamburger. I felt uneasy about this procedure and option and immediatley called Dr.Pousti’s office in San Diego I even sent Dr.Poutsi pics and email and was given an appointment.
Aug.2012 at my apppt with Dr Pousti he addressed the seriousness and urgency of my situation letting me know this fliud will pop and have impant exposer and greater chance of infection and that I need to act fast I’m 61/2 hours from home but wouldn’t make it driving back without a possible expousre.Dr.Pousti even said he will lose sleep over my situation that’s how worried he was about me.It really touched me and I booked my operation for Friday Aug.10th my 72 year old fathers birthday
Dr.Pousti took more photos re exaimed me and drawn out my areas for the operation in the days before my surgery. He let me know I would be having a double explant, shin revision and a lift.He let me know realistic expecations. He knows how much I admire larger breast and my goal of achieving larger breast in the future. He never promised me anything and I was okay with that.I knew what he was faced with and my health was epic.
I had my surgery and everythting went really well.It was my first experience with the Physicians Surgery Center and Dr.Pousti. I was pleased with everyone who helped me in the OR and recovery. Both facilities called and checked on me and Dr.Poustis office have called daily. It was my birthday on my post op day and was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a sentimental card signed by the entire staff, they made my day
I am now implant free and my breast. Very small 16 again lol! I feel like l left my twins at the orphange but it had to be done and will take time to get use to and it gets emotional at times.I can now focus on getting well and stronger and allowing my body to heal so maybe just maybe I can get my implants back.I will listen to Dr.Pousti’s suggestions I feel he saved my life.

Dear Dr. Pousti and staff:
In 1995, when I was 25 years old, I had my first set of saline breast implants put in. Because I was always barely a size A cup, it was something that I had wanted to do as long as I could remember. I was pleased with the results until the day I was in a car accident and one of my breast was damaged. Because of this, in 1998 the implants had to be removed. I had originally wanted them just removed without replacing them, however, the doctor at the time (not Dr. Pousti) talked me into removing and replacing the implants instead of removing them only. I had a very difficult surgery as well as recovery. I have regretted ever since then that I let the doctor talk me in to new implants. They have since been uncomfortable; I have not been able to sleep on my stomach; as a runner, it has been hard running with the implants, they have been in the way; and I just have not been able to wear anything that I wanted without it being too tight in my chest and too big in my waist. I was just a different person when I got the implants, and implants were not fitting in with my lifestyle any longer. I had been beyond ready to go back to my natural body for a long time. Finally, fourteen years later, when we were finally in a position where I could have them removed, we began to research and pray that we would find a great surgeon. Due to the fact that I had such a horrible experience with my last surgery, we wanted to find a doctor that we could trust and one in which we would feel comfortable. In Dr. Pousti and his staff, we found much more than we could have ever imagined or hoped for. We have been so blessed that we found Dr. Pousti.
I would like to thank Dr. Pousti and his staff so much for all that they have done and continue to do for me even though my surgery is over. While I was researching and looking around for the best surgeon that could perform my surgery, I kept coming back to Dr. Pousti. I was impressed with the extremely large amount of positive comments that were on many websites. Fact is, honestly in all of the many reviews that I read through, I did not come across even one negative comment. Also, his own personal website was amazing and filled with so much information about any surgery that you could possibly think of. Once I went in for my first appointment, I knew for sure, no question that I wanted Dr. Pousti to perform my surgery. Dr. Pousti, from the very first appointment made me feel beyond comfortable. He and his staff explained everything and answered any question that I had, and I had many. I had such a negative experience due to a very bad surgery in the past, and felt very very anxious. Dr. Pousti took so much time to help my husband and me to feel as stressed free and relaxed as possible. This amazing Dr. and his staff has called me everyday since my pre-op appointment just to check in on me, making sure that everything was ok and to rest any worries that we may have had as they knew that I was extra anxious. Since my surgery, they have continued calling and checking in on me to make sure that all was well. They even called on both Saturday and Sunday. From my first appointment until today, which is a week today since my surgery, Dr. Pousti and his staff have just gone above and beyond what they needed to do; way more than I have ever experienced from any other doctor’s office.
If Dr. Pousti and his staff were not enough, the Surgery Center where he preforms his surgeries is absolutely top of the line. Again we were astonished and amazed at the treatment that we received there. Dr. Pousti shared with them my concerns, and the staff from the Surgery Center went above and beyond what they needed to assure me and help make sure I was comfortable. They called me the night before and listened to my concerns. The next day they were perfectly punctual, and everything went according to schedule. Dr. Pousti and the staff from the Surgery Center were there by my side the whole time. They even held my hand as I drifted off to sleep.
My husband and I will always be thankful and blessed that we found Dr. Pousti to perform my surgery, and we would not hesitate for even one second to refer anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon to Dr. Pousti. He is truly a one of a kind Dr. with a one of a kind staff. We searched form many other doctors, and Dr. Pousti was like night and day compared to the others that we visited. We are absolutely sure that anyone who does choose him will be extremely satisfied, thankful, and blessed.
Extremely Grateful
PS: A side note from my hubby –
It was very important as we searched for a doctor that we found one in whom I could feel safe in trusting my wife’s care too. Dr. Pousti and his staff were very professional with high quality and standards which exceeded our expectations. Thanks for taking care of my wife.
God Bless

I had developed symmastia after a breast augmentation a couple of years ago. I had undergone revisional surgery by another plastic surgeon in hopes of having this corrected unfortunately the surgeon was unable to repair it and informed me that this would be impossible to fix. Fortunately, I came across Dr. Pousti’s name after searching the internet for physicians specialized in symmastia repair. I was very impressed by the amount of testimonials and high patient satisfaction rate along with his impressive photo gallery of before and after pictures of surgeries he had done in the past. I lived out of state but knew it was going to be worth my time and money getting a consultation with him. When I met him for the first time it was clear from the very beginning not only that he is an experienced surgeon and certainly one of the best in his field but what really makes him amazing is his compassion, empathy and care for patients. After my consultation I was very hopeful he was going to be able to repair my symmastia and provide the results I had been seeking for many years ago. I have to confess at first I thought it would be a challenge scheduling my surgery given I was out of state nevertheless he has an amazing staff that will work through your schedule and basically guide you every step of the way with regards to pre-op and post-op surgical care. They were readily available either by phone or email making it a very pleasant experience.
I was finally able to get my surgery and it has been a couple of months since I had it done. I am very happy and pleased with the end results. He surely exceeded my expectations and was able to correct what other surgeons in the past considered an impossible task. I highly recommend Dr. Pousti not only because his vast experience will guarantee the best surgical outcome but his excellent work will allow you to start healing emotionally.

The best thing I did was to have a consultation with Dr. Pousti. He and his staff (after seeing several other surgeons) made me realize Dr. Pousti was the best in his field especially when listening to his patients. I explained that my breast reconstruction was very important to me and that my outcome leaves my breasts looking as perfect as they possibly can. He did exactly that! I am two months post op and they are beautiful. The healing process has been fun. Just after my surgery I started reading the book \”Fifty Shades of Grey\” need I say more? My husband of thirty years loves my new breasts and is anxious for my healing to be over. I just look at him with my \”sexy grin\” and keep reading my book! Like I said, timing is everything! Thank you so much

After several years with breast implants, I decided to have them removed in my mid-30s. There wasn’t anything wrong with them – thanks to the fine artistry of Dr. Pousti they looked and felt great. I had been wondering if they were contributing to some auto-immune type symptoms that I had prior to the surgery, and decided to have them removed mostly for peace of mind. As it turned out, it became clear to me pretty quickly afterward that there was no connection with the implants.
I was fine without the implants for a number of years, and got used to my new “back to normal” size, which was slightly larger than the original 34A size I started out with naturally. In my early 40s I began thinking about having implants again. I was wearing bras with extra padding, again, and missing the way the implants provided my body with better symmetry. So I went back to Dr. Pousti for another go at this.
The second time around was a lot easier than the first since I knew what to expect. The staff pulled up my original photos of how my breast shape turned out with the first implants, and I decided to request a size just slightly smaller. I used the photos as a template to specify minor adjustments to reach a smaller “C” size. I am writing this just two weeks after my surgery and I am very pleased with the results, once again, and the healing process has ended up being quicker than the first time.
I don’t know how long I’ll have these implants. Maybe I’ll have them taken out in another few years, or maybe I’ll keep them for the rest of my life. I think the decision for me to have them back in again is one that works for me at this point of my life. In my case, it boils down to having a choice, and also understanding that there are some things we can control and other things we can’t. I think that much of life is an attempt to find that balance and be happy with the choices we make, which has taken me down this journey (with and without) implants.

I was given a piece of paper with Dr. Pousti’s name and telephone number by my esthetician. My esthetician then said, “I hear he’s the BOOBY GURU. He’s supposed to be the best!’
I was having problems with my implants and decided to meet with Dr. Pousti (he is in La Mesa-the medical buildings across the street from Grossmont Center) in hopes of he fixing what was going on with my implants. My implants started to harden; it became uncomfortable wearing a bra, they hurt and were not looking pretty! I explained my concerns to Dr. Pousti which he then proceeded to tell me what he thought was happening, gave me a detailed explanation as to what the surgery entailed and said, “Don’t worry we’ll get you fixed, I’m pretty good at what I do.” I was impressed because the plastic surgeon that performed my breast augmentation was stumped as to why I was possibly having complications and could not give me an explanation at all. I knew at that moment that he was the one to perform my revisionary surgery. I had found my new plastic surgeon, a doctor with a great bed-side manner, exudes confidence in what he does and attentive to your needs/concerns. Dr. Pousti invited me back to meet a patient who had the same issues with her implants that I was having and take a peek as it work. Wowsers…Dr. Pousti did phenomenal work…so pretty! I wanted pretty breasts as well and was tired of the pain. I scheduled my appointment and decided I would give myself a new set of twins for Christmas! I had a couple of appointments before my surgery to go over the size of the implants, what I wanted and medications. I was confident that I was in good hands so I said to Dr. Pousti that whatever size he thought would look proportioned to my frame (I am 5”4 and weigh 114 pounds) and go for it! The surgery went well and thought I was going to cry when I saw my new breasts. They were PERFECT! I continue to have follow-up visits with Dr. Pousti to ensure everything is coming along. There are many follow-up visits which are nice and staff is great when you have questions or concerns.
I am 100% happy with my new editions! Dr. Pousti is truly the best. He performed his surgery at Alvarado Hospital and the nursing staff he used when I had my surgery is great. And ladies………yes, he is the “BOOBY GURU!”
Thank you, Dr. Pousti for I am no longer in pain and have a pretty good looking set of twins!

I am a 48 year old woman who had my first breast surgery in 1990 with the original silicone implants which failed and leaked. I had them removed in 2002 and had new saline implants put in.Within a year of my second surgery my breasts started to sag and develop ripples.I lived with them for ten long years and realy started to feel self conscios about my sagging, uneven and ripply breasts. At one point I had even made an appointment with another doctor but he refused to give me what I wanted which was to go bigger! I had 325 cc. saline and I am extremely small wearing a size 0. This doctor had me believe that I was too small to go big. My boyfriend did some investigating and thus found Dr. Pousti. After checking out his extensive collection of patients, pictures, and testimonials we made an appt. to have a consultation with Dr. Pousti. His staff and himself were over the top courteous and professional. On that first day they let me talk to and inspect a nice pair of big ones on a girl that just had them done and I gotta say, I was really impressed. Then Dr. Pousti said he could give me what I wanted and I felt so comfortable and assured that I signed up for surgery on that day. What we learned was the most important thing up front was that the actual size or cc. of the implant was not near as important as the actual size and shape that I wanted. This is where the huge importance of pictures came into play. My boyfriend urged me to pick out pictures online and in magaazines of the perfect breasts for me. He reminded me not to pick pictures where they were pushed up in a bathing suit or bra. we soon settled on a group of pics that truly showed exactly what my dream and vision was. It was also important to show Dr. Pousti pics of what turned me off. On our pre-op meeting we reviewed the pics in his office and He still felt that he could give me what I desired but that my safety would come first and foremost. Well, here I am 8 weeks later sporting a beautiful set of 34 triple D’s made up with 800 cc. of silicone over the top of the muscle.
My breasts are amazing; so full and round! Dr. Pousti was very perceptive to what I wanted and he took the time to explain what he could do and how to achieve it. I can not say enough about Dr. Pousti and his staff. I would refer everyone to him because as far as I am concerned; He’s the best!!!

As a fly-in patient from the Pacific Northwest, let me start with the most important aspect of selecting Pousti Plastic Surgery “ the people and their professionalism”. I had been contemplating cosmetic surgery for some time to correct a dropping upper eyelid and I knew that my breasts needed some work. The implants I had done 12 years ago simply weren’t perky anymore and I also wanted to go bigger. Visited several PS’s in our area and never really found a PS that I felt comfortable with, I got the impression that they were hesitant with the size I wanted to go to.
My husband and I started looking on the internet and we kept coming up with Dr. Tom Pousti’s name on various sites. Which is where we found Dr. Tom Pousti Surgery website and we were both very impressed with the testimonials on the varies websites as well as Dr. Pousti’s own web pages. I decided to send an inquiry e-mail that was promptly answered by Margie and that in turn lead to a phone discussion with Dr. Pousti. The doctor took all the time that we needed on this phone call. It was very satisfying to finally find a doctor that listened and acknowledged every question, desire and concern I had. One is naturally nervous about going out of country and having surgery done by someone that you have never personally met but when I finally had my in office consultation with Dr. Pousti I was sure that I had made the correct decision. The office consult reviewed all aspects previously discussed and assured me that we were on the same page with what I wanted to achieve in correcting the droppy eyelids and in obtaining extra large breasts that were more centered with a higher nipple position without having to undergo a breast lift. Dr. Pousti, I love your sense of humor . I had my pictures of what I wanted and left the number of cc’s needed up to Dr. |Pousti. At this time I also met some of the doctor’s wonderful office staff. I want to take this time to thank all of the office staff. An extra special thank you to Helen and Daisy whom I got to know very well during my stay in San Diego.
The very morning I was off to the surgical center, again it was all about the “wonderful people” that staff the center. From the time you walk into the clinic I was very well taken care of. Thank you to all staff at the surgical center. Sorry that I can’t remember all the names, but you all know who you are.
Dr. Pousti came and did his drawings on my eyes and breast and we chatted again about the picture of the new breasts that I wanted. Once in the operating room, Dr. Pousti kindly held my hand while the other doctor put me to sleep.
I woke up with new eyelids and the march larger breasts that I had wanted. Dr. Pousti told me that what was needed for the size I wanted was 1220 cc’s of the saline implants. I know sounds kinda scary, but my body type just seems to swallow implants. So basically I went from a C cup to a DDD or G cup.
I am extremely happy with the work on my eyelids and excited about my new beautiful big breasts.
Thank you Dr. Pousti and all your wonderful staff.

I had my breast done 11 years ago and had saline implants put in. At the time i liked them, i finally had a more womanly body, something i had dreamed about ever since i was a little girl. But after a few months i noticed that i could feel my implant bags on the sides and underneath and when i bent over i could see the rippling, not attractive in my eyes. But i still liked my boobies. A year ago one of my friends got her breasts done by Dr. Pousti. About a month ago i asked to see her implants and asked her some questions and i liked what i heard. So i researched him and found Dr. Pousti to be highly recommended by everyone on the internet, so i made a call and had my apointment. I was SO exited! When i walked in all of the staff there were so friendly and so helpful when i was making my decision on what i wanted. Dr. Pousti has such a friendly dispossession and you can tell that he really cares about what you want done to your body. Dr. Pousti and one of the nurses held my hand in the operating room, made me feel so calm. After i had my implant revision i was home for a few hours when i got a call from Daisy one of the women that work in the office, she was checking up on me and seeing if i had any questions or concerns. I never had any of that with my other plastic surgen, so i knew i made a good chose. I tell you i look at my breast now and i love them so much , i went with 600 cc’s silicon, bigger then my old ones and no rippling. In a year or two i am going back to Dr Pousti for my nose job. Dr. Pousti and his staff just rock!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP YOU REACH YOUR GOALS OR CLOSE TO THEM I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. POUSTI. look him up if you don’t believe me.

I am 5′2 110 pounds and started with 450cc which were bottoming out and causing me much discomfort. I wanted to go smaller to prevent this from happening again. I was really apprehensive about going to just any doctor to fix this problem. I researched many doctors but couldn’t seem to find a doctor with whom I would be comfortable or have the confidence to do the kind of surgery I needed. I was looking for a doctor who specialized in the “internal bra.” Finally I came across Dr. Pousti and read all about his surgeries and decided to make an appointment for a consultation. The consultation was very informative and most importantly, I felt very confident that I had made the right choice. Dr. Pousti was very professional, caring and very considerate of answering my questions and really listened to my concerns. His office staff was also very caring, helpful and very informative of the surgeries as well as the aftercare. At first I wanted to go 100cc’s smaller. I was nervous about what size I was going to be. The day of the surgery, Dr. Pousti did his sketching and immediately I felt at ease because he is so confident and knew exactly what he was doing with what we both wanted to achieve. At the end of the surgery, I ended up 371cc’s and I’m so happy that he decided not to go any smaller! They look very natural and now I feel so confident and pleased with my new look!! His staff is great!!! Dr. Pousti is a true artist and I thank him for the wonderful job that he’s done!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised how often Dr Pousti and his team called after my surgery. I had breast implants about 7 years ago. I went in, had my surgery, and that was the last I heard from my surgeon or his staff. Although my previous surgeon didn’t do a bad job, in fact they were nice, they were not what I had asked for (much smaller than I wanted) and if I had had any complications, he would never had known.
After meeting with Dr. Pousti all my concerns and worries went away. I had actually been keeping up with Dr Pousti and his practice for almost 6 years before I actually decided to fly to another state sight unseen to have a surgery like this. The other concern I had was, previously I had tattoos to cover the scars from my previous surgery. I was so worried how mutilated they would be after the surgery(especially when other doctors said they would be). Dr. Pousti was so accurate not only does the tattoo look untouched, but the scar blends right in with the previous scar.
My recovery was even more unbelievable. I had taken 10 days off of work, but probably could have gotten away with 5 days (my work consist of sitting at a desk). I had decided to get XL implants so wasn’t sure how quick I would recover or how bad I would feel. I had recently had 2 friends who had breast implants about 3 months prior to mine and their bruises were so bad (rainbow bruising yellow, purple, black), I was not looking forward to it. I had no bruising, no major soreness, and over all didn’t feel as bad as my previous surgery. Overall my only complaint was Dr Pousti didn’t live closer and I wish I hadn’t waited so long, but it was a great excuse for a vacation and well worth the wait. Thank you Dr Pousti and Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You all were amazing and am SO GLAD I didn’t settle with someone nearby

After many months of planning and saving, I finally got my new 800cc babies (o)(o)!!
I travelled from the Gold Coast, Australia just to see Dr Pousti. Hubby and I planned a wee bit of a holiday around the surgery..so it was all worth it making the trip.
I had contacted Pousti late last year by sending him some photos of myself and goal photos. I had 800cc silicone in my mind, but when he spoke with me over the phone he recommended that I don’t get fixated with a number, but concentrate on the look I am wanting to achieve. He suggested possibly getting 800-1000cc with an internal bra due to my bottoming out issue.
I had a pre-op consult a couple of days ago. After meeting with me, he felt 800cc silicone moderate plus and an internal bra would be ideal for the look I wanted to achieve.
I am now taking it easy back at our hotel and am on my second day of recovery. I have admit that it is more painful than my first BA, which I am guessing that it is from the internal bra. But overall it is nothing I cannot handle. I have a great husband who is taking good care of me
I would highly recommend Pousti and his team to anyone and everyone. Every single person I have dealt with was extremely lovely and professional. The whole process was simple and helped making the distance from Australia worth it.
I loved the fact that Dr Pousti didn’t over promise anything and was realistic with me about anything that could happen. As he says, “your breasts are like sisters, not twins” which is so true in every aspect.
I feel so happy with the results and stoked that I got everything that I wanted

Dr. Pousti has given me the best gift I’ve ever received – my confidence back. Four years ago when I was only 18, I had breast augmentation performed by another local plastic surgeon. Being so young and eager, I blew off the obvious warning signs that he was not a good surgeon and chose him anyway. Though I stated time and time again that I wanted a natural, realistic looking chest for my size, I ended up with breasts that were anything but natural looking. I knew right away that he had left me with symmastia, and despite trying everything I could think of to get them to separate, they would not move. This was devastating to me as it meant I had spent all that money to end up worse off than I was before. Instead of gaining confidence, I gained embarrassment and physical pain. I couldn’t wear anything low-cut and hated trying to find bathing suits that would cover up the center of my chest. I spent the next four years hiding behind bulky clothes so that no one would know the awful thing I was hiding. I even tried my best to keep them from my longtime boyfriend, who I had started dating before I ever had implants.
By the time I turned 22 I knew I had to do something about them. I started researching different techniques to fix symmastia online and found that most of the before and after photos I was seeing on various websites were all attributed to Dr. Pousti. When I saw the great reviews people had left for him, I knew I wanted a consultation.
The difference between Dr. Pousti’s office and the office of my prior surgeon is like day and night. The girls at the front desk are all very nice and helpful, and Dr. Pousti is always on time for appointments. From our first meeting I knew that I wanted him to be the one to fix my symmastia. I think I visited his office three times in five days early on because I had so many questions and concerns regarding my procedure. Even though I had emailed him my questions, he invited me in to his office versus emailing me back to make sure I got a clear answer I could be satisfied with. Dr. Pousti’s confidence in his ability to fix my symmastia gave me confidence too. He was even able to schedule my surgery with very short notice, since it would be the only time my work and school schedule would allow for two weeks off until the following year. It’s amazing to me how he went out of his way time and time again to help me during the whole process.
The day of my surgery I was surprising calm. Aside from a little nervousness about how much pain I would be in after surgery, I wasn’t nervous at all about the procedure going well – I just knew it would. Most people thought I’d be a nervous wreck, seeing as how my last surgery ended up so horribly, but my faith in Dr. Pousti’s ability was quite strong. He just has this way about him that’s very reassuring and calming.
The surgical facility was also excellent. The nurses there were very kind and understanding, and did their best to make me feel comfortable. Right before I went under, I had both a nurse and Dr. Pousti holding my hands as the anesthesia went in, telling me not to worry. When I woke up, aside from the pain and grogginess that is to be expected, I felt great.
Interestingly, my pain after my symmastia revision surgery was far less than the pain I experienced after my initial augmentation. The day of my surgery I went home and was climbing stairs and watching TV, and the day after I went out to eat. In fact, the hardest part of my initial recovery was resisting the temptation to take off my tape/bandages to see what my new breasts looked like, but I figured if I could wait four years, I could wait a few more weeks.
When I was finally able to view the results of my surgery, I was absolutely amazed. Before where my breasts had touched and puffed up now laid a smooth, flat area of skin. The size of the space was perfect, and even though I was still somewhat swollen, I knew Dr. Pousti had listened to my wishes that I not have too much fullness on top. Seeing my results literally brought tears of happiness to my eyes, they were that great.
Now, about three months post-op, my breasts are softer, rounder, and more natural looking than ever. I have been wearing my “thong” bra religiously, and have resisted the urge to wear a normal bra or exercise. I was having a little trouble massaging the implants as often as Dr. Pousti told me to at first, so to ensure they stayed soft he put me on an anti-inflammatory medicine that has been helping tremendously. Also, the space between my implants is still flat and smooth, with no tenting or rippling to speak of.
I can now wear any type of top or bathing suit I like, and my breasts look great. I recently went bra shopping and for the first time, it was a pleasant experience. My life is becoming more in line with how normal 22 year olds live – I’m going out more and have more confidence, and I am no longer put in awkward situations where my old breasts would have held me back. This operation was truly life changing, and I cannot say enough about the amazing job Dr. Pousti and his staff have done for me.
If there’s one thought I want to leave people with, it’s that selecting the right surgeon is the most important decision you’ll ever make. Dr. Pousti is so talented at what he does, and shows genuine concern and compassion for his patients like I have not seen with any other doctor. His ability to fix what most other surgeons told me was difficult if not impossible to do shows what a true professional he really is. I only wish I had met him four years ago, but I’m more grateful than anyone can know to have him as my surgeon for my revision. Thank you Dr. Pousti and your wonderful staff for changing my life for the better.

Dear Dr. Pousti,
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and treatment provided by you and your team in connection with my Breast Augmentation – Remove and Replace procedure in February of this year.
Having spent greater than eights years working with renowned physicians surgeons throughout the United States as a medial malpractice defense attorney; it is my humble opinion that the skill level and degree of artistic perfection exhibited by you intra-operatively places you undoubtedly within the top tier of plastic surgeons. The trust and confidence that I intuitively felt pre-operatively were most certainly confirmed post-operatively by your polished work product, which incorporated, distinguished surgical and post-surgical techniques designed to maximize the aesthetic value of the breast augmentation. Likewise, the quality of care and concern exhibited by your team throughout this process further supports the conclusion that I am most pleased by the treatment referenced herein.
Based on the above, the decision to proceed under your care and guidance seems most obvious. Accordingly, please feel free to forward this correspondence, or to otherwise provide my contact information, to any prospective patients.

Advice to future breast augmentation patients………..from an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Pousti’s!!!
I am not going to brag about Dr. Pousti and what an accomplished, skilled surgeon he is. I’m sure you have thoroughly toured his website, read the testimonials and have familiarized yourself with his bio and his credentials. Or maybe you are lucky enough to have met him and had a consultation already. Either way, you are already aware of his passion for what he does, and how committed he is in helping his patients achieve their desired plastic surgery goals.
I am however going to tell you what sets Dr. Pousti aside from any other plastic surgeon…….he listens and he is honest. He is extremely receptive to everything that you tell him and he is very straight forward and honest. If he doesn’t believe that something is a good idea, or it cannot be successfully surgically achieved…….he will tell you straight up. He’s not going to sugar coat anything or tell you what you might want to hear. He is going to give you his professional and surgical recommendation that will leave you with a clear insight of exactly what your surgical experience is going to entail. Some situations are easy, some are more complex than others…….some patients need a revision surgery, a two-step surgery…….ect. Whatever the case you will feel completely confident that Dr. Pousti sincerely has your best interest in mind.
Here is where my advice comes into play!
Dr. Pousti like any other human being can only listen to exactly what you tell him. So make sure you think about your body and what you really want. Rather than focusing on the amount of cc’s you think you need to achieve your desired bra size, or putting too much emphasis on the photos you see on his website or in magazines………..go out and buy the bras that you want to wear after your surgery. Or buy the bathing suits that you want to wear, or a shirt you want to fill out. I wear a 36DD bra in the Victoria’s Secret bras that I buy, but I have a few bras from Macy’s and Nordstrom’s that are a 36D. EVERY bra is different!!!! And keep in mind when looking at pictures of women with implants to gain better size perspective, the EXACT same size implants on two different women will look completely different.
I think most women have this misconception in their head that if they get a breast augmentation their breasts will come out looking like a playboy centerfold’s breasts……..I know I did! Oh how I wish that were the case!!! But the reality of it is that there are many factors on your body that will determine the end result of your breast augmentation. The amount of breast tissue that you have to start with, the natural shape of your breast (round, tear drop, ect) weather you decide to have your implants placed on top or below the muscle, weather you chose silicone or saline, what style implant you chose (moderate, high profile, ect) and whether or not you need a lift. I know a lot of this can be a little overwhelming, and that is what Dr. Posuti is going to help you with. He will make his recommendation based on what he thinks is going to achieve the most successful results for you and your body.
If you go into your surgery with realistic expectations, then you will come out with realistic results!!! Good luck ladies!!!!

My 1st breast augmentation surgery was performed overseas 25 years ago! I had silicone implants positioned over the muscle. I developed capsular contracture and for that reason, together with the age of the implants, felt that it was time for revision surgery.
I did so much research on the subject, I felt like I had earned a degree on the subject! Armed with this knowledge, I narrowed down my choice of surgeons to 3. Due to the amount of experience Dr Pousti had in revision surgery, together with the glowing reviews about his personal demeanor, skill and professionalism, Dr Pousti was hard to fault and in the end, I made only one consult appoint with Dr P and that meeting was enough to make me comfortable enough to go ahead with the surgery.
I am now 12 months post op and am so happy with my results. I was terrified that the end result would be bigger than I wanted, but he was exactly spot on with my desired size.
I drove 6 hours for each appointment to see Dr Pousti but it was definitely worth it. He is such a caring, gentle doctor and must admit that you can’t help but fall a little bit in love with him. Hopefully I won’t develop capsular contracture again but I know if I do, I’ll be back to see Dr P for any future surgeries.
Thank you to all at Pousti Plastic Surgery for your expertise and professionalism always!

I wanted to say thank you for the amazing job you did.I`m glad you decided to do internal sutures. I`ve noticed the difference as soon as I woke up from my surgery and people around me have noticed it too. When I found your web site about a year ago I was stunned at the results on your patients, but I never thought that one day I would take this step and fly so far away to have my breast done. Your quick responses to all my emails and questions really suprised me . I could see that you and all of your team were definitely at ease with far away patients. Anyhow I decided to go and I`m happy I did.
Your warm personality,, the great team that works with you makes us feel secure even when we come from far away and are traveling alone (I had a wonderful nurse to take care of me by the way) .
Thanks again you truly are a one of a kind doctor.

I had nearly a dozen consults over the years before I finally decided to have breast augmentation surgery in 2007 at age 34. I chose to have my surgery in Alaska where I live (basically for convenience). I was extremely unhappy with my results and my surgeon’s lack of desire to address my concerns. I finally obtained a second opinion and was told surprising facts about my surgery that explained many of my issues. I also received confirmation that the recommendations provided by my plastic surgeon were not going to solve the underlying problems. I was heart broken. I had many concerns going into this elective surgery. I had put much trust in my surgeon and felt betrayed by her. I wanted to have revision surgery, but was scared to trust another surgeon. I had been blogging on several of the popular plastic surgery websites and Dr. Tom Pousti’s name kept popping up. Patient after patient told their stories of surgery nightmares and how Dr. Pousti was able to correct their problems and restore their broken spirits. I could not ignore their testimonials, so I researched him myself and decided to go about planning the revsionary surgery. First, I e-mailed his office and was shocked to receive a call from Dr. Pousti himself the very next morning! I e-mailed pictures and we discussed the revisionary surgery a few more times over the phone. His office staff was extremely helpful and quickly responded to any questions I had regarding the surgery and planning my trip. I met with Dr. Pousti the afternoon before surgery and had a completely successful surgery in the morning. I cannot thank Dr. Pousti and his caring staff enough for all that they have done for me! My breasts are healing beautifully and the results already far exceed my expectations. Dr. Pousti has true compassion for his patients. This is evident in the manner in which he treats them and the skillful work he performs on them. He is an impressive surgeon and artist and a truly kind person. I would recommend him to ANYONE considering plastic surgery. He is definitely worth any amount of travel. His office now considers me part of their “family” and I am proud to be associated with such an impressive team!
I first found Dr. Pousti in 2001 in my search for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Not only was he Board certified but double board certified. I was interested in a Breast Augmentation and was VERY impressed with his mastering art of Cosmetic Surgery. Every picture that I saw on his website was just beautiful.
Once arriving to my initial consultation and meeting Dr. Pousti I knew that he was the surgeon that was to perform my surgery. His staff is first class and helped me with anything and everything I needed. During the consultation he explained the surgery itself in detail and spent a good amount of time with me and answered all of my questions. I never felt like I was rushed or just a number. He really took his time with me and made me feel really comfortable. He is very caring, respectful, compassionate about his work, genuine, has wonderful bedside manners and is just an all around great man. We looked through pictures that I wanted to use as a guide and met with his actual post-op patients that were in the office. I really thought that the patients that shared their wonderful experience with me was ve
ry helpful. Before I left his office I knew that I had to schedule my surgery.
My surgery went extremely well. Dr. Pousti was with me the whole time through the morning of my surgery. I really felt like he cared and he even took the time the night of my surgery to contact me to make sure that I was doing ok. I was very happy with my results/experience and decided to go larger in 2002 with Saline implants. The 2nd time around was even easier then the 1st. My incisions were near to nothing. I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon to perform surgery on me and that’s why he performed my 3rd!! I am now 3 weeks post-op from a Breast Augmentation with a lift and switched to Silicone implants. After having the larger implants I decided that I wanted a little more conservative size and downsized and switched to silicone. The 3rd time around I can and will say that I still have the up most respect for Dr. Pousti and the gift that he was given. He does amazing work and will continue to do so. I am VERY happy with my results and can’t wait to see the end result.
Dr. Pousti does amazing work as it speaks for itself. I have and will continue to refer my friends and family to him.
Thanks Dr. Pousti!!!!
Revisionary Breast Surgery Testimonial:
I had surgery with Dr. Pousti in April 2010. I have had several breast surgeries and I have to say Dr. Pousti was the best. I had breast implants placed under the muscle for the first time, he also revised my breast lift scars. What I love about Dr. Pousti is that he listens to what you want and gives it to you. My past Dr’s did what they wanted and I didn’t like the results. I wanted small B cup implants and that is exactly what I got. I traveled all the way from New Orleans for my surgery. I would recommend him to any one who has a surgery that needs a revision of some sort. My scar revision is on the way to healing and so far so good. His office staff is also friendly & helpful. Go see Dr. P and you won’t regret it!!

Thank you (again) for taking care of me for this past surgery. From the bottom of my heart I really do thank you for all you have endure with and for me. I have said this from the beginning but you both are friends to me and I value you both. I’m happy that I am able to be of some help by sending you patients or talking with them about your practice, which is by far the b est around. Look forward to many years of friendship.
After suffering a serious injury to my pectoral muscle, I found myself in need of surgery and recognized, after evaluation by several other plastic surgeons, that my case would be difficult with an unpredictable outcome. I began to search for the doctor that would be the best to do the repair- I finally located you after extensive research. Your familiarity of the use of Alloderm as your replacement tissue and your amazing artistic ability has truly been my saving grace. My “revisionary” surgery has proven far superior and much more beautiful than my original breast augmentation. I wish I had found you years ago for the original implants, but I feel blessed to have found you now. My trip from Arkansas was so worth while! Wonderful staff- Awesome you!

From the patient’s significant other:
I would like to express my sincere thank you for such a great job. The original augmentation was less than satisfactory and the injury sustained was drastic, as you well know and the results of your work outshine that tremendously. Sandra is very happy and as a result has a much better outlook regarding her appearance.. She was always great to me regardless and still is. I thank you once again for your skill and judgment in regards to sizing, shape, etc. I feel that you have captured the perfect essence of her femininity with your work, I am sure in the month to come as she heals that your work will only become better as well.. once again thank you for your time, patience, skill, and personal attention to her when she first contacted your office and staff. At the very beginning she was so distraught and after talking to everyone there became much more relaxed and assured that she was in good hands.
Revisionary Breast Surgery:
Dear Dr. Pousti and Staff-
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the compassion and quality service that I received while under your care. I could not have achieved the amazing look and feel of my ‘new breasts’ with any other office. I am extremely pleased with the results. Thanks a ton!
To Anyone Considering Revisionary Breast Surgery:
I had breast augmentation preformed about two years ago by a surgeon in North Carolina. Within a year of the surgery I began to have complications. I noticed a small bump forming beneath the skin on my right breast. Within a year the bump had grown and caused the breast to become misshapen and uncomfortable. It was even noticeable when I had a lined bra and clothing on. I later came to find out that the ‘bump’ was actually the implant pushing its way through my skin. I knew that I needed to have the problem corrected right away!
I was apprehensive about finding a surgeon that specialized in revisionary breast surgery. However, I had received many recommendations for Dr. Pousti and decided to schedule an appointment. From the moment that I met with Dr. Pousti I felt at ease with my decision to have my surgery performed by him. Dr. Pousti reassured me that he would to the best possible job to fix my problem. Within the month I scheduled the surgery.
After everything was over and done with I couldn’t have been more happy! My breasts looked awesome! The bump was gone and I could not believe how natural they looked and felt. I could hardly wait to show off my new ‘look’ to my husband.
Dr. Pousti and his staff did an excellent job and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I appreciated their compassion and outstanding service. Dr. Pousti is knowledgeable and very skilled in his profession yet he is humble and truly cares about each individual that he works with. I am VERY pleased with my results!
Testimonial:
It has been ± 18 months since my procedure. As shown in the 18 month photographs, there has been some settling and swelling reduction since the 6 month photographs (as expected and predicted), and I have lost about 10 lbs. Implant placement seems to be holding in place (as was the intended purpose of Dr. Pousti’s procedure). Prior correction attempts were already showing signs of failure by 18 months, so I am still very pleased with my results at this point, and very optimistic of “long term” success provided by Dr. Pousti’s skills and knowledge.
My surgery was in the fall of the year, so at this point I have enjoyed my “new look” for one summer/bikini season. I did not tell friends and family of my corrective surgery, however several friends have commented on “how great they look”, or even asked if I had a “re-do”, or asked “where did you get yours done” as shape, volume and overall workmanship display signs of true professional! I truly believe breast augmentation is an art. There is a difference in a surgeon who performs augmentations and a surgeon who display his talent in the augmentations he performs.

Revisionary Breast Surgery:
“What can I say?” I’m extremely thrilled to be writing and sharing my happiness, and gratitude with my Breast Revision results. My first Breast Augmentation was six years ago, right before my wedding. Every woman wants to feel perfect on her big day. I was an “A” cup for the longest time and I remember since I was 14 years old wanting bigger breasts. I just knew I’d feel more like a woman, sexier too. My soon to be husband was extremely scared for me to have the surgery. Six months after our wedding, I got pregnant… Not enough time for me to enjoy my new, round and perky breasts. Did I mention that my husband loved my new boobies? I am 29 years old now. I have two beautiful children, both of whom I’ve breastfed uccessfully with the implants. But what happened to the shape of my breasts after the breastfeeding left me feeling depressed, and I also developed horrible scar tissue, the medical term is called Capsular Contracture. My scar tissue got so bad I had trouble sleeping at night. I am a very active woman. I’ve even
competed in the Boston Marathon. After finishing breastfeeding my son, I immediately went back to my doctor in hopes of him fixing my breasts. Come to find out he retired and a very prominent doctor took over his practice. I met with this doctor but I did not feel like he cared about me at all. He had a very fancy office, with all of his own paintings that he painted, hanging in every room. The staff was also very quiet, no smiles and they seemed unapproachable. I went to three appointments with this doctor dicussing my wants hoping to like him and feel comfortable with his approach in fixing my breasts. This doctor wanted to give me a full lift, and what
that means is a lot of scars basically. I left his office with a fancy price, and I was completely frustrated and confused as to whether or not I wanted this guy to do my operation. I decided that I was going to visit other doctors. During my hunt for the right doctor, my sister mentioned Dr.
Pousti’s name. That a lot of the women at her gym have seen him for various operations and were very pleased with their results. I was very afraid when I went into Dr. Pousti’s office. When Dr. Pousti came in the room to meet with me I just let it all out. I expressed to him my frustrations, and I asked him how do you know if you found the right doctor? I said I’m scared, I don’t know what to look for, I want this operation done right, but how do i know if you’re the right one? Dr. Pousti took me around his office and showed me his credentials and expl
ained to me what they meant, and he also took it a step further and had me meet with patients in his office that day only a week or two out of surgery, and I couldn’t believe my eyes how stunning everyone’s breasts looked. They were women of all ages. Dr. Pousti just kept bringing them in one by one. And the women shared with me there experiences with Dr. Pousti and how happy they were with there results. I needed a doctor to care about me, and to want to give me the best results. When he looked at me I could tell he was an artist, he cared deeply about his work and he told me, “I can fix your breasts without a lift.” “You are young and beautiful, and don’t need those scars.” I couldn’t agree more. I went home that night and told my husband that I had found the right doctor. I said that he took over an hour with me, talking with me, wanting me to feel comfortable with him, and that he even showed me several of his patients just out of surgery, and that I couldn’t believe how beautiful everyone looked. I said this is the guy I want to do my surgery. Dr. Pousti had his work cut out for him. He had to do a Capsulectomy( removal of the scar tissue) and Breast asymmetry and re-augmentation. The growing scar tissue had severly changed the shape of my breasts, so he had to reshape them as well. I couldn’t be happier today. I know I made the right decision in choosing Dr. Pousti. I have not only come to really liking Dr. Pousti, but his staff of women, his team, is amazing as well. I love all of them. We
talk about our kids, we laugh and share stories together, when I walk in that office, I am always greeted with a smile. I feel like a million bucks. Dr. Pousti and his wonderful team have helped improve the quality of my life. Thank you Dr. Pousti for taking the time to help me feel comfortable,
and confident in your abilities, and for helping me now love again, my new boobies.

Revisionary Breast Surgery with Saline Implants:
I just had my implants redone for the 3rd time since 1985. Third time was a charm with Dr. Pousti. I had silicone the first time, they ruptured from a car accident, had them replaced with saline. I wanted to go bigger but my old doctor at the time would not do it, so I was very unhappy with results.I was referred by family to go see Dr Pousti. They both loved him & were very happy with their results.
So I finally went to see Dr. Pousti, he sat down with me & listened to my every word. It felt good to be heard. I was very impressed with how he made me understand that it’s not the CC# its how do you want to look when we are done. He asked me to bring in pictures of what I liked and so I picked out photo’s ranging in 500 cc range. I ended up with 700cc to get that look.
If I would have gone into his office and said I want 500cc I would have came out very disappointed again. I am so glad I trusted Dr Pousti”s years of experience as I am very happy with my results. They look just like the pictures I had brought into him. Highly recommend Dr. Pousti if you are wanting a Breast Augmentation or Revision.
Hi to Dr. Pousti and Staff I could go on and on, but I tried to make this testimonial as concise as possible for future patients. First let me thank all of you from the bottom of my heart!! Thank you for caring the way that you have
I’m writing this for anyone considering breast augmentation surgery, or anyone who is coming to Dr. Pousti for revision surgery. I moved to San Diego in August of ‘06 and new that finding a doctor to do my revision surgery was a main priority for me. I had lived with a previous complication for two years with increasing difficulty as it kept getting worse and worse. The hardest part of the process for me was learning to trust a surgeon again after my past experience. I’m 23 and had already had two surgeries, and the amount of emotional stress I had for the past two+ years had worn me down. I found Dr. Pousti online and came in for a consultation within a couple weeks of moving here. After meeting with him, looking at pictures online, and reading patients testimonials, I knew he was the man for me!! (Not to mention his wonderful staff)
I had a pretty serious/complicated issue (take a look at the before and after pics!) I was pretty much hopeless that I would ever be anything but deformed… and yet Dr. Pousti. didn’t turn me away, instead he worked with me and did research on new techniques in breast revision surgery. He went out of his way to help me, and treated me like and individual person instead of a paying customer. I will be forever grateful for the extra effort he put into my case It’s now Feb ‘07 and I am more than a month out of surgery, the revision surgery went better than I could ever have imagined. He did an amazing job!!
One thing I would like to add because I think it is a common misconception with female patients, is about male surgeons. I know that after having a male doctor for my first two surgeries I was frustrated because I felt like men didn’t take the time to listen to me, and (with my young appearance) treated me like a child. So before meeting Pousti I had consulted with a female surgeon in the area thinking maybe that was the answer… I was wrong, she was actually worse than my previous surgeon, and made assumptions about what I wanted and didn’t want without asking me. In short, It’s not about a male doctor or a female doctor, it’s about the person.
I would strongly recommend him to anyone considering cosmetic surgery, honestly he is a very talented surgeon. If you are consulting with him because you are facing a revisionary surgery, he is someone you can trust, he’s completely honest, and he really does care about his patients. Best of luck with your future surgery

Dr. Pousti and Staff,
I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful experience of being your patient and my results are beyond my expectations.
I was so broken hearted when my first augmentation left me with a terrible case of capsular contracture in both breasts. My husband’s job was transferring us to California, and I had pretty much lost faith in my previous surgeon who’s PA was the only person I saw at any appointment after my augmentation, disregarded my concerns from early on. I started researching surgeons in California and came upon your site. I honestly thought you had to be too good to be true, mind you, I was skeptical of any surgeon by this point.
When we were finally settled in from our cross country move, I made an appointment to see you, again very skeptical of how it would go. I had so many mixed emotions about even having a second augmentation, but the contracture left me with constant discomfort.
When my husband and I entered your office, your staff was so warm and friendly. They immediately ushered me off to meet with a patient who was only a few weeks into her recovery, and then another. I was very impressed with that. There is nothing better than hearing experiences from an actual patient.
When the time came to sit and speak with you about my case, you took time to answer all of my questions, and because of my previous experience I left no stone unturned. You didn’t always tell me what I wanted to hear, you were very honest with me about what to expect. I asked you “What happens if I develop a contracture relatively soon again?” Your answer to me was, “If there is no pain involved, I suggest we do nothing, and if there is pain involved, I would suggest we consider removing the implants all together.” This was the point that my husband and I KNEW you were the surgeon for me. I felt as though you were putting the best interest of your patient before anything lucrative for yourself. YOU CARED! I wasn’t just another patient file.
I am six months post op, and I have remarkable results. I have gone from having a notable difference in symmetry, square, hard breasts to something that looks very natural on my frame. The few people I have shared my augmentation experience with have said they would have never known I’d had surgery by looking at me. You quelled all of my concerns, all my fears, and all my self-consciousness. I have several friends are interested in having cosmetic procedures, and I’ve referred them all to you.
Again, I can not thank you or your staff enough. From the time I first walked into your office, through my surgery (you have an impeccable bedside manner), and through out all of my post op visits, each of you has greeted me by name, even without my chart in hand, and have always been “First Class.”

Thanks so much for your understanding and royal treatment now and always!
Currently, I am taking Pilates classes, started a new cake business, and my surgery scars from 2010 are almost gone. In fact, since I saw you in January my breasts have continued to soften and look more natural now than they did. I think you would agree that Dr. Pousti did an excellent job on my reconstruction.

When I was considering getting breast augmentation redone, I was looking at a doctor in California I have seen on the television to do my surgery. Turns out he doesn’t do new surgeries anymore. Well, thank God he doesn’t because I immediately came across Dr. Pousti online and started researching right away. I had an instant feeling of comfort reading all the great experiences he had given his patients and seeing all the improved pictures they had posted. I literally ready every single thing on each case that I could see. My fiancée is the kind of person who wants to meet people in person before he decides to make big decisions, so we set up a consultation. We flew to California and met the staff and Dr. Pousti. I LOVE THEM AND SO DID HE! Not only did Dr. Pousti know what he was doing as far as having the education, and licenses…he was warm, friendly and funny. It was a winning situation all around. Vanessa was so easy to talk to and looked beautiful. Margie was the same we absolutely loved her! I think it really says a ton about the doctor how his staff operates and treats you. I had no concerns when I was in their office except when can we operate? I had breast augmentation in New York about ten years ago and was a bit disappointed in how it turned out. Dr. Pousti heard what I didn’t care for and changed it them to nice, big, even, round breasts that have awesome cleavage if I may so myself:) The coolest part is that I saw pictures of the labiaplasty and wanted that as well. The embarrassment of having extra labia I never wanted is now gone. I still can’t believe it…I am so happy! Praise God for Dr. Pousti and the way he treats and helps people feel more secure and beautiful. I feel lucky to have been led to him all the way across the country and would refer anyone I knew to him. I also loved the nurses that were at the surgery center; they were so easy to be around and gave me comfort and warm blankets and smiles right before I went under. I will say in my other operation I did not get treated that way in New York and that makes a huge difference when you are not herded around like cattle but treated as a special individual and guided gently. I will find time when I go back to California and stop in and say hi to the office, it’s just that kind of place:)

I came in to see Dr Pousti , for a Mommy Makeover. Having 3 kids all weighing over 9lbs; really took a toll on my body. I would find myself exercising, and not losing my belly. It was very frustrating. The day I came in for my consultation, I was immediately welcomed by his wonderful staff. I really felt like I belonged there. After meeting with the Doctor, My husband and I knew he was the one. Dr. Pousti really listened to my concerns, and answered all of my husbands and my questions. (There were a lot of them.) The best thing about his office was the fact that I got to meet and talk to all kinds of patients that had the same things done. We decided that I was going to have a breast lift with implants, and I full tummy tuck; which goes all the way around to my backside, to get rid of my muffin top. The day of the surgery came quick, and I was very scared. Dr. Pousti and the hospital staff were there letting me know everything was going to be OK. I felt so much better. The surgery was 6 hrs long and it went smoothly. The first week was very painful, and I don’t remember too much about it; other than it hurt. The time flew by very fast, and by the 6th day I didn’t need any more pain meds. I am now 8 weeks out, and I not only feel amazing; but I look amazing as well. I look forward to my appointments at his office. His staff is so warm and caring. Dr Pousti did an amazing job on me. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He is truly a gifted surgeon; A real artist. He has raised my confidence so much. I would recommend him to anybody. I feel very blessed to have had Dr Pousti to perform my surgery.

Its been a year since my mommy makeover; and I couldn’t be happier with my body. I look and feel great. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. A few months ago; Dr. Pousti noticed I had a small leak in my left breast.(It was actually a blessing in disguise.) He went in, fixed it, and made them fuller. Because I had a breast lift during my first surgery; I couldn’t go as full as I wanted without putting my healing at risk. (That’s why it was a blessing in disguise.) Needless to say; my boobs now look perfect. Plus the healing time was a piece of cake!!! I love my DR. and his staff. It may sound funny; but it’s true. The whole staff is very friendly and has always set the tone by providing a welcoming and comfortable environment. I always look forward to my appointments. I can’t thank Dr. Pousti enough for what he has done for me. He’s amazing. I feel BEAUTIFUL; and I haven’t felt this way in a long, long time.
Thank You ,

Hi !
I am from Canada and I wanted to share how glad I am to have chosen Dr.Pousti to do my breast latest surgery . Last fall after a breast augmentation surgery (here in Canada) I wasn’t really satified with the results. After going on the web, I came across a few girls whom I really like the results of their breast surgery and then found out that their Doctor was Dr.Pousti. So I went to his website. I was really impressed but I thought that California was pretty far away from home for a surgery since I live in Eastern Canada.
But after inquiring with out of states patients, I decided to send an email. I was answered pretty quickly. After a few mails and a few phone calls with Dr.Pousti, I was conviced and decided to go along with the surgery. Everything went so smoothly, they accomodated me for the scheduled surgery, contacted me by phone and emails and then I flew in the San Diego area.
Dr.Pousti and his entire staff, are warm and friendly, very professional and Dr.Pousti was very honest about the result. The surgery went wonderfully well , the next day I was travelling around the town and felling just fine ! I was verry happy with the results (and still am after 3 and a half months). I feel that Dr.Pousty listened to my needs. Back home, Dr.Pousti and his staff checked on me regulary and I always felt cared for even now so far from his clinic.
I am very happy I`ve decided to fly to California to have my surgery done by him. My only regret is not to have herd of him earlier. It would have saved me a lot of unwanted surgeries to get what I wanted .
