| This 60 year old patient from Nevada was very unhappy with her previous breast surgery and was interested in revisionary breast augmentation surgery by an experienced breast surgeon who was board certified. She had significant breast asymmetry, scar tissue formation (capsular contracture) and was not pleased with the shape or size of her breasts.

She searched for the breast Plastic Surgeon in Southern California to help her with her breast revision surgery and found San Diego, Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tom Pousti. They met a few times and discussed her case in detail. She decided to fly in for surgery. Because of the complexity of her case and the goals that the patient wanted to achieve, Dr. Pousti suggested a 2-staged procedure. The first surgery would entail removal of the current breast implants, removal of the scar tissue, and a breast lift (mastopexy). After everything has healed, they would return to the operating room for the breast augmentation portion of the procedure. The patient understood that this was the safest way to achieve her goals and so she proceeded to have surgery.

Dr. Pousti takes time the night prior to surgery to perform measurements and markings of the breasts to ensure as much symmetry as possible during the procedure. As the markings are being performed, the procedure is being discussed in detail with the patient and her questions are being answered.

One of the patient’s main concerns was that when she was laying down, her breast implants would fall out to the side.
