Mommy Makeover

This 26-year old patient from San Diego, California was interested in breast augmentation, breast lift and tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty) other wise known as a “Mommy Makeover”.The patient was referred to Dr. Pousti by a previous patient who had cosmetic surgery and was very pleased with their results.

After having children and nursing them, this patient was unhappy with her post-baby body. The patient described in detail that although she worked out daily, her skin was resistant to bounce back after the pregnancy due to the loss of skin elasticity. Also she mentioned she was unhappy with the volume loss in her breasts from breast-feeding and the abdominal muscle separation that she was unable to fix with crunches.

As you can see, this patient is in great shape but just needed to get her pre-baby body back. Dr. Pousti discussed breast augmentation along with a breast lifting procedure (to give her the “perky” breasts she wanted) along with a tummy tuck procedure (to get rid of the excess / damaged skin in addition to tightening the abdominal muscles). The patient was very comfortable with Dr. Pousti’s ability and proceeded with surgery.

The night prior to surgery, Dr. Pousti and the patient met to discuss the procedures in detail and to perform “markings”. These markings allow Dr. Pousti to discuss where the incisions will be with the patient.

The patient is now 1-month post-op surgery fully healed with saline breast implants filled to 390cc in both breasts, made by Mentor Corporation. The patient is extremely pleased with her results and amazed at how quickly she healed.
