| This 47-year old patient from Northern California was unhappy with the size and shape of her breasts for several years and was interested in breast enhancement surgery. She began her research online and kept coming across Dr. Pousti’s website. The patient was very impressed with the volume of information he provided as well as before/after pictures. She contacted Dr. Pousti via phone and e-mail and finally decided that the travel to San Diego would be well worth it.

Upon examination it was determined that the patient had slight chest wall asymmetry; her left chest wall is more prominent than her right. During her visit the patient expressed that she wanted to achieve as much symmetry as possible and knew that Dr. Pousti would give her the look that she desired. Pros and cons of saline vs silicone implants were discussed along with the breast augmentation procedure.

The patient and Dr. Pousti meet several times prior to the surgery and options are discussed in detail. Measurements of the patient’s breasts are taken and markings are performed. These markings are used as guidelines in the operating room and help promote breast symmetry.

2 different shaped and sized implants were used in the patients breast to create symmetry. A 330cc Moderate Profile Saline implant was used in the patient’s left breast and a 380cc Moderate Profile Plus was used in the patient’s right breast. A smaller implant with less projection was used in the left breast because the patients left rib cage was significantly more prominent than the right.

The patient is extremely happy with the results of her breast augmentation surgery with correction of breast asymmetry.
