| This 44 year old patient from Texas had several breast augmentation surgeries performed but was unhappy with her results. The patient was interested in larger breast implants and could not find a surgeon in her area that had the experience or one that was comfortable performing extra large breast augmentation. She started her research online and found Dr. Pousti and was impressed with his experience with breast surgeries as well as saline overfilled implants.

The patient and Dr. Pousti corresponded several times via phone and email and the patient felt that he could achieve her goals. She scheduled surgery and flew from Texas to California to have him perform her revisionary breast surgery.
The patient and Dr. Pousti met several times to discuss possible options and to review the breast surgery in detail. Upon examination it was determined that she had mild symmastia present. Symmastia occurs when the muscle detaches from the sternum in the center of the chest causing the implants to touch. Capsulorrhaphy must be performed in order to correct mild breast asymmetry.
The patient expressed to Dr. Pousti that she was interested in going much larger, fixing her symmastia, and also did not like that her implants would ‘fall outward‘ when she was laying down. Dr. Pousti removed previous implants, corrected her breast pockets and places saline overfilled implants.

800cc saline implants overfilled to 1530ccs were used in both breasts in order to meet the patient’s size goals.

A ‘thong bra’ is recommended for patients to wear post symmastia repair. This bra helps reinforce internal sutures and promotes proper healing.

The patient is only a couple weeks post op breast revision surgery with extra large implants and is very happy with her initial results.
