Breast Augmentation Revision

This 54-year old patient from Louisiana found Dr. Pousti on the Internet, after researching for a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon to perform her breast revision surgery.

The patient had several breast surgeries performed by another surgeon, the patient had breast augmentation surgery but because she was unhappy with the size of the breasts she decided to remove her implants and to undergo breast lift surgery (mastopexy) without breast implants. Over time, the patient became unhappy with the low volume of her breasts and decided to undergo breast revision surgery. She was also unhappy with the scars from her breast lifting surgery and wanted Dr. Pousti to also perform scar revision.

Dr. Pousti performed markings on the patient the morning of surgery, the patient is marked standing up then laying down to use as a guide to achieve as mush symmetry as possible for the patient.

The patient wanted to look as natural and as proportional to her petite body as possible. She described in detail that she wasn’t interested in breast implants to increase in size but to make her breasts appear to be fuller.

In order to achieve her desired look, 150cc silicone gel breast implants were used in both breasts with submuscular placement. She is very happy and is now 6-weeks post-op surgery. The patient sent pictures via e-mail.
