27 year old female from San Diego, California who had a previous breast augmentation surgery performed but was interested in breast implant reduction. Her cup size was DD but she wanted to go smaller in size to a C cup. With her athletic build, she wanted to be more proportional.
Her implants “fell off to the side” and so Dr. Pousti performed capsulorrhaphy (internal bra). During this patient’s capsulorrhaphy procedure, 2 layers of permanent sutures are placed on the lateral aspect of the breast implant pocket. This prevents the implants from “falling into her armpits”and also gives her better cleavage.
The arrows above indicate where the patient wanted more fullness and cleavage.
The red area above is where the permanent sutures were place (internally – no external scars). This internal bra improves breast implant positioning on the patients chest wall.
