Breast Lift Patients

This 41 year old patient from Corpus Christi, Texas had been unhappy with the size and shape of her breasts for several years. After extensive research she knew she was interested in proceeding with cosmetic surgery. The patient was interested in finding a surgeon around her area until she came across Dr. Pousti’s website. She was impressed with the amount of information and pictures he provided and decided that it was worth the trip to come to California for him to perform her breast surgery.

The patient had been in contact with Dr. Pousti via phone and email and expressed her concerns and expected results. Dr. Pousti was able to answer all her questions and give her options to choose from.

After being examined it was determined that the best option for the patient would be a breast lift along with augmentation. Measurements of the patients chest were taken prior to surgery and markings of the breast procedure were made.

The ‘x’ markings on the breast indicate where the nipple/areola complex should be expected to be when the breast lift is completed. Once the nipple/areola complex is relocated the skin underneath is removed and the breast tissue is rearranged to give the breasts a more firm and perky look.

Sizers are then placed, filled with air and the incisions are temporarily closed. The patient is then placed in an upright position to make sure that her goals are being met.

275cc Silicone Gel implants were used in the patients breast to achieve the look she was going for.

The patient is post op breast augmentation/mastopexy with silicone gel implants and is very happy with her initial results.

This 33 year old from Santee, California was interested in a breast augmentation and breast lift combined surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Pousti uses sizer implants. This allows him to temporarily place an implant and fill it to a size that fits the patient’s goals. He then removes the temporary sizer implants, and places the permanent implant.

This 44 year old from Riverside, California was interested in a breast lift, breast implants, as well as a nipple reduction. She had been considering these surgeries for several years and was trying to find the most experienced surgeon in riverside county to perform them. The patient searched the internet for board certified plastic surgeons with websites that showed actual results of patient’s. She was very impressed when she came across one of Dr. Pousti’s many websites. She read all about his training and was very amazed when she discovered that he was double board certified. After reviewing his entire website, she felt the results he was able to achieve for his patient’s were phenomenal and she knew she wanted Dr. Pousti to perform her surgeries.

The patient met with Dr. Pousti and felt so comfortable with him that she scheduled surgery immediately. She met with Dr. Pousti several times to discuss her pending procedures. During these visits she expressed that she felt her natural breasts were lacking volume and cleavage. She also expressed concern about the size of her nipples. The patient and Dr. Pousti felt that the patient would benefit from a nipple reduction along with her breast lift/augmentation.

Measurements and markings were completed the night prior to surgery. During measurements of the breasts, Dr. Pousti is able to show the patient where her cleavage will be, as well as her new areola/nipple location. The risks associated with breast lifting, breast implants, and nipple reduction are also discussed with the patient during this time.

After breast lifting, sizers are placed temporarily to determine the size the implant needed. Dr. Pousti sits the patient upright in the operating room with the temporary sizer in place to ensure symmetry. Patient’s are encouraged to bring it photos of breasts they like so he can hang them on the wall in the operating room and refer to during surgery.

Saline implants filled to 440ccs were used in both patient’s breasts in order to achieve her desired look.

This 38 year old from San Diego, California was interested in revisionary breast surgery and revision of her previous abdominoplasty. She was unsatisfied with the results of her surgeries and did not feel comfortable returning with her previous surgeon. She began researching experienced plastic surgeons in the San Diego County. After reading about double board certified Dr. Tom Pousti, the patient and her husband decided to meet with him in person.

During her consultation, Dr. Pousti examined the patient and felt she would benefit from a two stage procedure. A two stage breast procedure often has less risks and complications then performing a breast lift and breast augmentation at once. The patient decided she wanted to proceed with implant removal, mastopexy, and tummy tuck revision procedures and once healed she would then continue with a breast re-augmentation.

Dr. Pousti met with the patient the night prior to surgery to perform markings and discuss the implant removal and mastopexy procedures in detail. The patient was also unhappy with the bunched up skin on her lower abdomen. Dr. Pousti agreed the patient would benefit from removal of her current adipose tissue on her lower abdomen.

In the operating room, Dr. Pousti removed the patient’s previous implants and performed a breast lift. The patients right breast was temporarily stapled together until comparisons between the left and right breast can be made while the patient is now only lying down, but also sitting up. Once the breasts are symmetrical final suturing is done.

Since the patient decided to proceed with a two stage surgery, once she is healed from her breast lift, she will continue with her breast re-augmentation.

The patient is extremely satisfied with the results from her implant removal, breast lift, and tummy tuck revision surgeries and cannot wait for her breast re-augmentation in the near future.

The poster helps him to narrow down the patient’s goals and clearly communicates what she wants to achieve. The patient wanted a natural look, with cleavage and some fullness on top. She didn’t want her breasts too far apart with outer cleavage.

This 21 year old patient from Lakeside, California was interested in removing her current implants and replacing them with much larger implants. She decided to proceed with Dr. Pousti for her breast procedure after finding out that he was very experienced with plastic and reconstructive surgery. She had procedures performed by him before and felt very comfortable with his work.

During her visit with Dr. Pousti extra large breast augmentation options were discussed. Upon examination, Dr. Pousti felt it would be in the patient’s best interest to also have her breasts lifted during her surgery to achieve an overfilled perky look.

The patient decided to continue with breast re-augmentation and breast lift. The patient met with Dr. Pousti to take measurements and perform markings so symmetry would be achieved.

Below, it is very apparent that the right breast is “perkier” than the right after lifting and replacing the implant. The right breast is temporarily stapled until comparisons between the two breasts can be made and symmetry is achieved, following final sutures.

Dr. Pousti used Smooth Round Moderate Plus Profile Saline Implants filled to 1050cc on the right and 1100cc on the left. The left breast was overfilled slight larger than the right to achieve symmetry.
