Facial Procedures Patients

This 55 year old patient from Southern California was interested in improving her appearance with facial rejuvenation. She was referred to Dr. Pousti by a good friend and was very impressed with his experience with face lifting surgery.

After examination, Dr. Pousti and the patient agreed that a face lift along with a neck lifting procedure would give the patient the best results.  She wanted the lower part of her cheeks tighter as well as her neck.

Prior to the procedure measurements are taken of the face and markings are made. These markings help ensure symmetry and indicate where exact incision lines will be. Face lift incisions are typically located along the hairline making it easier to hide while healing.

During the face lifting procedure the muscles of the face are tightened and fat is sometimes removed if needed. The neck lifting procedure is performed through small incisions along the chin and behind the ears. During this procedure excess skin is removed and tightened.

She is post op face/neck lift surgery and is very pleased with her results.

This 60 year old patient from San Diego, California had been interested in facial rejuvenation surgery for several years and decided to do some research on facial procedures. The patient was referred to Dr. Pousti by a close friend and previous patient of his and was impressed with his experience and credentials. This 46-year old patient from Fallbrook, California was interested in eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

He was unhappy with the puffy look under his eyes and wanted to improve his facial appearance. The patient did some extensive research for a board certified plastic surgeon and after coming across Dr. Pousti’s website and reading his testimonials, the patient wanted Dr. Pousti to perform his surgery.

This 31 year old patient from San Diego, California was interested in fixing the symmetry of her ears with a procedure called an otoplasty. Otoplasty is an ear surgery that is performed to correct excess protrusion of the ears and place them in a more normal, less conspicuous position.

As you can see in the pictures the patient’s right ear is more projected. To create symmetry Dr. Pousti will perform otoplasty on the right ear only. The procedure consists of an incision on the back side of the ear, with the removal of a small segment of skin. The cartilage is exposed, and it is thinned or cut so that the ear will be placed in a normal position and have a normal configuration. Stitches are used to hold the cartilage in place and to close the skin incision.

The patient is now post surgery and is very pleased with the results of her ear surgeries.

This 59-year old patient from Temecula, California was interested in face and neck lift surgery. She was unhappy with the look of the hanging skin under her neck and her hanging jowls.  She had previously undergone face-lifting surgery some years ago (with another surgeon) but was unhappy with the her earlobes after that surgery.  The previous surgeon had sewn them onto the side of her face and they did not have a normal appearance.

This 9-year old patient was uncomfortable with her prominent ears and wanted surgery to correct them.  She was getting teased at school which made her not like going to school.

The patient didn’t like how the top of her ears pointed outward.

The patient’s mom researched ear surgery for her daughter and wanted to make sure she would have the surgery performed safely and found Dr. Pousti. Dr. Pousti corrected the patient’s antihelix fold, setting the top section back creating a more desirable ear shape.
