This 59-year old patient from Sacramento, California was interested in pectoral implants for several years. The patient researched for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced in pectoral implant surgery, and after seeing many excellent before and after pictures of the surgery, the patient contacted Dr. Pousti via phone and e-mail for a consultation, he knew, he wanted Dr. Pousti to perform his surgery.

After several phone and e-mail consultations, the patient decided to fly into San Diego to meet with Dr. Pousti in person.

During his consultation, the patient brought in pictures of what he would like to achieve and explained in detail that he wanted the appearance of a more developed pectoral muscle, while still looking as natural as possible. Dr. Pousti discussed the surgery in detail with the patient; measurements were taken at the time, then pectoral implants were selected, the patient decided to proceed with surgery.

Pectoral 4 Aiache, size 3, textured silicone implants were placed submuscularly.

The body typically produces fluid after pec implant surgery; one drain is placed to prevent fluid build-up and typically after 2 weeks the drain is removed.

Immediately after surgery, you can see the “new” projection of the chest.

The patient is now 1-weeks post-op surgery and is now back in Sacramento, he is very happy with the results of his surgery and will be following up via e-mail and phone with Dr. Pousti.

This 21-year old patient from San Marcos, California (North San Diego County) came in to meet Dr. Pousti because he was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE with the appearance of his chest wall.

He had the Nuss Procedure when he was younger but was unhappy with the cosmetic result of his surgery. The Nuss Procedure is performed for medical necessity. Children with moderate to severe defects often experience shortness of breath, exercise intolerance and chest pain. These are the results of compression and displacement of the heart and secondary lung compression.

He and his mom found Dr. Pousti on the Internet when they searched “custom pectoralis implant”. They had seen that Dr. Pousti is a double board certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a lot of experience with pec implants, pectus excavatum and chest wall reconstruction. Pectus excavatum, also known as funnel chest, the sternum (breastbone) is depressed relative to the rest of the chest wall. After meeting Dr. Pousti at his San Diego office, and discussing the procedure in detail, the patient wanted to proceed with surgery.

Male Nipple Reduction Surgery

This 31 year old male from San Diego had been interested in nipple reduction surgery for several years and after doing research for a board certified plastic surgeon he came across Dr. Pousti’s website.

During the nipple length reduction procedure the tip of the nipple will be removed and sutured for closure. Sometimes the skin along the neck of the nipple will be removed. In those circumstances, the tip of the nipple is then sutured to the bottom of the nipple, creating a shorted nipple length.

Male Liposuction

This 34 year old patient from San Diego, California was interested in liposuction of the flank (lower back/’love handles’) and midsection area. Although this patient had a strict military work out routine and had healthy eating habits he still had stubborn fat in his back and abdomen area. To give this patient his desired look Dr. Pousti performed liposuction on his abdomen, flanks and back.

The liposuction procedure takes anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the complexity of the patients case. The incision are very minimal, generally measuring about a quarter of an inch. Recovery time ranges from patient to patient but most of our patient can return to work after 3-6 days and are able to return to their normal activities in about 3-6 weeks.
