XL Breast Augmentation Patients

| This 59-year old patient flew in from Oklahoma to have Dr. Pousti perform her revisionary breast surgery. She was unhappy with her current breast implants (surgery performed by another surgeon). The patient was interested in “round and full” breasts. After reviewing in detail the procedure of extra large breast implants, the patient decided to proceed with revision breast augmentation surgery. 
Dr. Pousti used internal sutures to create an “internal bra” for the new position of the implants which created more fullness and cleavage will be achieved.

The patient is still fresh only 3 days post-op and pleased with her results.
During the recovery process, a bolster dressing is placed to offer support in the areas where the internal repair was performed. This bolster dressing will stay in place for a few weeks to a month. The patient will keep in touch with the office and Dr. Pousti will let the patient know when she should remove it.

| A 50 year old female from Utah came to Dr. Pousti for revisionary breast surgery. She researched for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is experienced in extra large breast augmentation and found Dr. Pousti on the Internet. Impressed with Dr. Pousti’s website before and after pictures, the patient contacted Dr. Pousti.
Unhappy with the shape and size of her previous implants (done by another surgeon) she was interested in “round and full” breasts. After reviewing in detail, the risks and complications of extra large breast implants, the patient decided to proceed with revisionary breast surgery.

| A 35 year old female from Vista, California was interested in Revisionary Breast Surgery. Unhappy with the bottoming out of her current Breast Implants (surgery performed by another surgeon) she wanted Breast Augmentation Revisionary to correct it. 
After researching the internet for Board Certified Plastic Surgeons she found Dr. Pousti. She was impressed with his credentials and multiple before and after photos of previous patients. She met with him for a consultation to discuss her goals. Dr. Pousti examined her and said that she would be a great candidate for Revision Breast Augmentation Surgery. | A 65 year old female from Lewisville, North Carolina was interested in exchanging her implants for XL Saline Overfilled Implants. She began searching Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who specialized in XL Breast Augmentation. | A 55 year old woman from Orange County was looking for a surgeon who specialized in revisionary breast surgery. She was unhappy with the positioning of her previous implants done by another surgeon. She wanted fuller, bigger breasts with emphasize on cleavage. | A 39 year old woman from Rocklin, California was looking for an experienced plastic surgeon to revise her previous breast augmentation/ lift due to prior complications. She wanted revisionary surgery for her previous breast augmentation /lift surgery. She was not happy with her breast asymmetry, right side bottoming out and the areola asymmetry.
After researching surgeons on the web she decided to meet with Dr. Pousti. She felt very confident that he would be the best plastic surgeon to meet her expectations. The morning of surgery, Dr. Pousti took measurements and made “markings” on the patient. Her previous breast lift scars were not re-opened. Only a small incision at the areola was used for the breast revision surgery.

| This 43 year old transgender patient from Grand Canyon, Arizona had been wanting breast augmentation surgery for several years.
After researching many surgeons online, she came across Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Pousti on Healmyself.com. After her consultation with Dr. Pousti she knew that he would help her achieve her goals.
In the operating room, Dr. Pousti uses temporary sizers to help with the decision of what size breast implants to choose and achieve the patient’s goals. The patient is sat upright and the size, shape and symmetry of the breasts are checked several times through out the procedure.
The lower pole of the breasts were constricted (see the blue lines above) and so Dr. Pousti worked on the breast implant pocket to achieve a rounder, more natural look for this patient.

| This 25 year old female form San Diego, California was looking for a surgeon to preform her breast augmentation revision surgery. She had previously gone to a Plastic Surgeon in La Jolla but was unhappy with her breast implant’s size, shape and position. She felt that her implants had “bottomed out” and she wanted that corrected. She also wanted larger breast implants to emphasize the cleavage and achieve more fullness on top.
She was a C cup and wanted to become a DD+. In addition to the revision breast surgery, she also wanted liposuction of her lower abdomen and nipple reduction of the left nipple.
She found Dr. Pousti on the internet while she was searching for a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in correction of implant mal-position. She was very impressed with his photogallery and his expertise.
The morning of surgery, Dr. Pousti examines the patient one more time and measures things out to prepare for the surgery. Markings are made and gone over with the patient in detail.
As you can see above,the arrows above the breasts indicate where the patient is wanting more fullness. The markings on her abdominal area is where liposuction will be performed.
The patient had very different nipples on each breast. She wanted the right nipple reduced to match more closely the left nipple.
In the operating room, Dr. Pousti removed the patient’s 500cc silicone gel breast implants. The patient had brought in a goal poster (below) and so this is used to determine what size implant will achieve the patients goals.
Once the old breast implants were removed, bilateral capsulorrhaphy (internal bra) was performed to correct the bottoming out of the breast implants. Temporary sizers are put in place and the patient is “sat up” on the operating room table so that Dr. Pousti can make adjustments in the breast implant size and pocket symmetry to achieve the patient’s goals. This “sitting up” of the patient and pocket adjustments are performed at least 3-5 times through out the surgery.
Dr. Pousti performed revisionary breast augmentation surgery with bilateral inferior capsulorrhaphy (Internal Bra),and Breast Re-Augmentation with overfilled saline implants. She also had nipple reduction on the left side and liposuction of lower abdominal wall.
The patient is very happy with her early results.
