| This 43-year-old patient from Oceanside who is always in the sun surfing had developed skin cancer. She found out that she had basal cell carcinoma on her nose. She went to her dermatologist and discussed having the MOH’s procedure performed. For the reconstruction portion of the procedure, she felt more comfortable with Dr. Pousti because he is a board certified plastic surgeon.

The day of the MOH’s procedure, she came into the La Jolla office of Dr. Tom Pousti so that he could see how much tissue was removed. There was significant tissue removed (you could see the cartiledge).

The flap coverage were discussed and markings were performed.

The flap made by Dr. Pousti to cover the area of removed skin.

Immediately after surgery.
The patient is now 14-months post-op surgery, the incision line is undetectable. She is very happy with the results of her surgery.
