Before Treatment
Tattoo Removal generally can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on the complexity and size of the area treated. Laser tattoo removal is performed in our La Mesa office on the first Tuesday of every month. It is important to space out your treatments in an effort to prevent scaring. This patient has had 3 treatments so far and is very happy with her progress.
After Treatment
After the laser tattoo removal is performed ointment is applied
Bandages are also applied over the area to help prevent irritation or infection
Patients can resume to their normal activities immediately after the laser treatment. The area must stay dry for 24 hours and it is best to avoid exposure to direct sun for at least 1 week.
