This 27 year old from Ramona, California was interested in breast revision surgery for quite some time. She did not like the size, shape, or placement of her breast implants and found that her right breast was constantly causing her pain and looked distorted. She found double board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Pousti and was extrememly impressed with his previous patient's results. Dr. Pousti determined the patient had encapsulation of her right breast caused by buildup of scar tissue and can often be painful. The patient also needed capsulorrhaphy, also referred to as internal sutures, performed on her left breast to improve symmetry. Internal sutures create a permanent internal bra to repair the breast pocket and improve implant placement. Dr. Pousti performed a capsulectomy to remove the scar tissue, capsulorrhaphy to repair the patient's breast pocket and exchanged her previous implants with a 533cc silicone gel implant on the right breast and a 492cc silicone gel implant on the left breast. She is now 4 weeks post-op and extremely satisfied with her results.
