I have to put into words what I feel inside and I don’t believe I will be able to give you all the praise that you deserve. I am writing to you not as a patient, but as the husband of a patient, so what I say is only a small portion of how my wife feels. My feelings are a reflection of the joy that she experiences every day since having surgery. You have given to her through your medical magic and your absolute eye for perfection something that I would never have been able to give her, and I thank you. My wife’s journey began with the pregnancy and birth of our son, which was 14 years ago. Since then she has longed to have her old self back in the sense of her stomach and figure. She has done the exercise and diet thing but due to the excessive stretched skin she realized surgery was her only option. She had been on the search for a surgeon over the last 10 years before meeting you. At the first consultation you have her ‘all the time in the world’ to ask questions and she came home to tell me how you were so different from all the other doctors she had met. You made her feel so comfortable and confident that it made me feel the same. Leading up to her surgery she had all the usual thing you would expect such as anxiety, fear, excitement, stress, and the questioning if she was doing the right thing, and always were there for her. You made time to see her just so she could ask you more questions to feel more comfortable about her decision. After her surgery your caring and kindness continued and helped in our healing proves during her recovery, sometimes as counselor, prep squad, or friend, you were always there. Your honesty and dedication to your patients should be a required lesson in the medical school, but after meeting you in person I know that doctors like you must first start with a great person like you, and you are a rare and special addition to this world.
