Q&A: IS TOO MUCH COMPRESSION A BAD IDEA?

"I had my breast implants removed yesterday morning and I’m wondering if at this point if it’s possible to have too much compression? I’m wanting to wear a sports bra over my ace wrap to keep the ace in place. Is that a bad idea?"

DR. POUSTI: Is too much compression a bad idea?

Generally speaking, too much of “anything” can be a bad idea but I do not think any harm will be done by using a sports bra over the ace bandage that your surgeon has applied. Just be careful that no dressing, bandage, bra… is cutting into your skin.

Best wishes; hopefully you will be pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed.
